Re: Champ Bailey is OP
Re: Damien Lewis LG Nasty Streak

Exactly, he can play anywhere you need him. Larry Allen and Marshal Yanda get every position except Center. Everyone will be rocking 5 guards later in the year.

Some of these guards are gonna look like Golden Tickets in a couple months with the Je…
kaotikords said:And the best part is he can chem every part of the line

yes sir
QB283 said:Yeah, and considering TOTY should be coming soon and there will likely be 3 96 ovr corners to choose from, I'm not desperate for CBs
Re: Damien Lewis LG Nasty Streak

For sure, I feel like Bruce Matthews has to get a new card soon. Maybe he will be in this week’s Legend drop. Also thinking Dwight Freeney will probably get a new card soon.
kaotikords said:Shocking how many 89s dont have updated players but theyve done all these 93+s
Re: Ok so Gilly Lock isn't that good

All good man, whatever works best for your team in the end. I’ve been in that same boat many times and went back to BND’s because I didn’t feel like the “new, better” cards were performing any better.
QB283 said:Interesting. Well, the way I see it he didn't play any better than my other corners, so it wasn't worth keeping him around when I could have coins instead.
The only way I want to keep a player on my team is if they are free or close to it, and don't sell for much. Basically why I have a bunch of BND players from sets and challenges.
But if Gilmore eventually become super cheap, I may experiment with him again. It just bothered me that my 93s were playing just as good if not better.
Re: Ok so Gilly Lock isn't that good

I haven’t tried Gilly but for me this year I’ve had to find which spots work best for certain CB’s. Some have played terrible until I found the right place for them and then they played insane.

I’m still using Deion as Slot CB for blitzes, I don‘t …
QB283 said:X-factor on. Decided to do some H2H. He got mossed by Julio Jones... with Shutdown activated. Need I say more?
Turns out his best use was as a blitzer. Got multiple sacks. Doesn't really say much, because earlier on Demarco Murray got subbed in on defense randomly and got a sack himself.
Kinda disappointed, but hey, that's 400k going into my coin stack so can't be too mad.
Re: Damien Lewis LG Nasty Streak

Yeah I’ve got Jensen at C and moved Creed to RT (0AP Identifier/1AP Secure Protector). Re: Damien Lewis LG Nasty Streak

That’s a lot of pancakes! I don’t scheme anything up enough to get that kind of production.

I agree Kelce was really good when I had him at LG with Nasty Streak as well.
Gent said:Nasty streak is such a great ability if ran in the right scheme. I was using Kelce at LG for a long time with Nasty Streak and he would average like 3 pancake blocks a game. I moved off of him and went back to LTD Quenton Nelson, but I'm contemplating switching back.

Re: Why is quadfather so expensive

Agreed, I am having fun using Quadfather but I actually think even the Bo Knows ability on Bo Jackson & GT William Perry last year was harder to stop than this card.

Nowhere near the level of Dickerson.
Martyr1968 said:Ok , you've gotta stop comparing this card to that Dickerson card. It's not even close. Dickerson took every run to the house. Dillon breaks the first tackle but after that he's a normal power back. Unless you get lucky or play someone bad or someone who pass commits , you'd need 10+ runs to drive down the field with AJ, whereas every run with ED was a home run. That ED card is probably the most OP card in the history of Madden, that, Vick, Finneran, and a few others...I am talking since 1988. Quadfather is not in that class. Great card, great x factor, breaks the first tackle....but if you drop him for a loss 2x (and I've knocked many Quadfathers out of the zone already), he's an average power back.
Dickerson was a home run threat every down all game long
To respond to OP, yes...his x factor is always on unless he gets stopped for a loss 2x because of his X factor and the persistent ability. Normally 1 tackle for a loss would knock a card out of the zone.
Re: Red tornado plus four guards =hateful messages

Yes, you would have to apply their secondary position for them to count towards your TT chems.
von11 said:So if I were to put guards at tackle...will it still work if the card is primary guard, but I put secondary on them for tackle to have them count towards TT...or...does it cancel out with the secondary position?
Re: Mark Brunell vs. Steve Young

Right on man, hopefully I can give him a try soon.
sensicough said:You won’t go back to Young but I’m guessing you will keep him at backup like I did. He’s fun. Brunell without GS and just running fearless and SFL to me just plays way better and gives me a better record in H2H. He’s a faster left handed Elway after all. Like you, I use short/mid to work down field and only bomb when I catch my opponent sleeping. 3ap is nice but even with HRM 5ap is nice too. When I ran Elway I used GS. I can barely tell that I’m not using it on Brunell. He’s the best in game I do believe.
Re: Mark Brunell vs. Steve Young

Thanks for the advice! I do take my team in the short/mid range to work my way down the field. I throw a couple bombs when I see the opportunity but the opportunities seem to be getter fewer with faster DB’s lately.

I still plan on at least trying …
jcsteel66 said:The OP raises a good question. The answer depends on your scheme. I'm using Brunell with Set Feet Lead, Hot Route Master & Fearless for 5 AP. I run the Jets playbook and a Gun Split scheme that relies on the run, complemented by quick & intermediate passes. That works GREAT with Brunell's Slinger 1 release. Now, Brunell is NOT great on the super deep throws, as Slinger 1 struggles with passes >40 yards downfield.
So if your scheme doesn't rely on a ton of bombs, I'd go with Brunell. If you want to be able to throw bombs with a good release, stick with Young.
Re: Mark Brunell vs. Steve Young

Nice! I’m enjoying using Young as well. Probably gonna stick with him for a while.
wkward83 said:So I sold Brunell and got young and I have no regrets . Young is doing doing great for me and his release with gunsling actually feels a bit fast than Brunells to me . Really enjoying the young card.
