Im still stuck on the part why they would do it in the first place.

That price is more than the game, console, tv, and yearly subscription combined. Probably would still have left over to pay for a few months of internet.

It will be a mix of the people who just have that gambling style addiction mindset that can't help themselves, and people who just have more money than they know what to do with irl. 

Games rely on those type of players for the majority of their sales on stuff like these promos. Us regular people aren't the target demographic unfortunately.

Most people use the same cards because there's seemingly fewer options available than any year previously. It was already an issue because people would only use the best cards, but this year feels like there's a lot fewer choices at every position.
