Problem is he is not the best Qb in the game. Even the whales don't care to pull him and I don't think comp guys will use him either.

I feel like it's gotten to a point. I think EA is trying to push and push to see just how much money they can squeeze out of the fanbase and I think people have realized, maybe only slightly, but realized that it's just not worth it anymore

Depends on your style, Lamar is definitely the best pure runner at QB in the game

But not even that very clearly. Manziel is basically equal and he can get sfl for 8ap. Even Steve Young has good running stats and 93spd with free slinger. Even if he was a normal champ only cuz of his name people would use him mostly. For a card that cost like 2000 bucks he should be super juiced and have at least 2 zero ap buckets.

Nah, you don't understand. Certain player models play differently, regardless of the stats. You could have four different cards with identical stats, they will all play differently.
Same reason Dan Marino is the best passer in the game.

I remember the times when there were power up cards and power up passes. Everyone could have this 97 Lamar just by upgrading his PU card until 95 then adding a 96 ovr pass.

Totally agree with this statement. I got back into Madden this year as one of the only games I play when I have free time (don’t have very much) and like to go NMS because obviously I could spend money on the game, but I’m never gonna spend $1,000s, so at a certain point it’s better mentally to not spend anything. During Zero Chill I got to $5 M, which was by far the most I’ve ever had. Since then I’ve been playing much more, but it’s just annoying when the best players are behind a pay wall. I can consistently win H2H with a 80-90% win rate and go 66-75% win rate in Ranked, but in the events I run into players who will be running Milroe and full cystals and it’s just so annoying because I want to go 10-0 or 10-1 but just can’t and it drives me insane.
I don’t wish that there way no way to spend money because it’s fun to beat people who blow their wallet’s for the best team, but can we just take away players that are only obtainable through points or just step up offers that garuntee certain players.
