Short Route KO is great in a heavy man blitz scheme. It is able to knock the ball out on popular short man-beating routes like drags, slants, and zigs. Also, this is counter-intuitive, but some pros are running Short Route KO on safeties in the current man defense meta. It prevents the offense from completing passes thrown early to HBs and TEs when facing heavy pressure.
