Great advice
EightyOne said:Hard to know what to say so here's the usual list of obvious stuff.
Don't sprint too early. Most say wait until your RB is beyond the LOS. Sprint basically makes all the D come off their blocks so you need to be patient.
Make sure you're running to the best spot. Do a hat count (you can press LT and you'll see how the D is lined up.) Switch sides if it looks more open.
ID the Mike and watch his User. I'll often just ID his User tbh.
Use the double-team icon on DLineman on inside runs. I find this works really well if you run with a FB ahead because if you double-team 1 lineman then another 1 is free. I'll often double-team his User if it's a DL.
Try not to be too predictable with play calling so the opponent can't predict you're running.
Run at least 1 inside play and 1 outside play early on to see where the opponent has his best DL.
Personally, I don't bother with Counters or Draws - they just take too long to set up.
Always press stiff arm or truck at the end of a run. Sometimes you'll break free.
Motion a WR for no reason. Its a popular thing to do on passing downs and I think players often think you're passing when you do it.
I run Gamechanger Jacobs and TOTY Ekeler. Personally I'd look to have a Power Back and a Receiving Back but I'll often have the Power guy in and pass or the Passing guy in and run.
On D you just need to be a decent User really and your non User LB wants to be the best player you can get. I play a a custom playbook that had 4-3 Over 3-4 Cub and 5-2. Not many people get many yards on the 5-2 but 4-3 over with the LOLB being a run LB works best for me. I Spy a DL quite a bit and he seems to zero in on the RB once the play isn't a pass. Then its just all the obvious with Secure Tackler, Inside Stuff etc.
Hope that helps man.
