100% my user is ALWAYS blitzed. Been that way for years, otherwise you get pulled towards your coverage assignment and can’t move freely.
GGerz said:spoiler: you should blitz your user... you can see if it's run/rpo or pass in nickel and dollar. The angle gives it away...
Re: I think the Madden MLB is the best user in the game.

My user is ALWAYS blitzed. You can still get knockouts from hitting the receiver without having a knockout ability especially if you have a tackling ability. If your user only has LA and MZKO then it would light up if the MZKO is working. Otherwise …
droblunts313 said:I’ve heard a lot of people say that blitzing ur user wastes mzko but I blitz my user every play and I still get the mzko animations. Re: I think the Madden MLB is the best user in the game.

I haven’t tried Dual Threat but he’s still made a bunch of plays for me so far. I still need to play a lot more H2H’s to figure out the best way to spend my AP’s.
mberezoski said:I put dual threat on him and is arguable the best defensive player I have used all year. The 1 ap is justified as he literally can do it all after nine plays lol.

Do you always blitz your user so he can move freely?

If you do then MZKO is wasting AP.

My user changes based on the offense so I will normally user at least 5 different players throughout a H2H game. Here's the case for each:
- Hendricks - great speed and height, but abilities suck and gets pancaked on the reg.
- Warner - great ability stack with lurk/MZKO for 0ap, but speed is a problem
- Willis - good speed, solid abilities with the lurk/MZKO stack for 1ap, height is meh at 6'1".
- Simmons - good speed, abilities are meh as you can't get lurk/MZKO discounted together, height is really good at 6'4"
- Madden - good speed, solid abilities with the lurk/MZKO stack for 1ap, height is really good at 6'4"
I have every player on this list aside from Warner on my team as part of a 25/25 Combine, 25/25 Raiders TT so know the cards well. I use Willis and Madden as my SLBs with Hendricks only seeing the field in 4-3 61. Simmons is there for TT and motivator chem purposes.
I think it's time to put some respect on Madden's name. What are your thoughts?
(Queue the complaints about not having Madden yet)
Re: Howie Long or JJ Watt at DT?

His Run Stuffer ability is baked on so you don’t actually need a token for it. I just grabbed Watt last night and put him at LE. I’ve only done the ROH solos with him in the lineup so far but he had the most sacks on my d-line.
TraeSkywalker said:Yeah I would go with him for sure if I was going to use the token.

Thanks again, I will keep the weight in mind for WR/TE juking. I have noticed hit sticks are harder to execute and don’t seem to have as much impact. I will see if I can try the strip fumble more.
Breakluna said:Yeah juking is pretty op this year. Also players who weigh under 248 pounds get the fastest juke animations. It's a big enough deal that you'll see people opt for TEs and HBs that stay under that threshold.
Also you may have noticed this but strip fumbles are actually pretty viable this year. I believe I've seen more strip fumbles this year than hit stick fumbles. Just something that can be helpful if you don't know it since I know in some previous years going for a strip isn't that effective.
Re: Started playing on PS5 two weeks ago

Thanks for the tips! I played a handful of games this morning and I’m getting more comfortable already. Just trying to get used the angles and movement takes some time.
Gamingwithcalvin said:I made the switch in about december, way different game and a way different meta.
Man coverage is in the gutter, and it’s a lot less “spam meta blitz” like in 23 with dollar. Always run lurk artist on your backers, it’s basically just lurker from what I’ve picked up. I can’t stress enough how good Freeforming your passes are. Can turn ints into touchdowns with the right pinpointing.
I don’t know if you’ve seen it, but buy the 96 Bo’s. Great value and great on the offense.
Other than that, you should be alright. You’ll pick it up sooner or later
Re: Started playing on PS5 two weeks ago

Thanks for the response and breakdown. Sounds like I’m kind of on the right track at least. I haven’t even tried throwing high balls, I’m sooooo used to throwing to the open receiver and possession catching so stuff doesn’t get knocked out as easy. …
Breakluna said:For QB stacks, SFL/PLE is still a must have. Gunslinger is another popular ability but you can get away with not using it on most throws if your QB has Trad 4. Most people need GS with any other release. If you haven't guessed already, Trad 4 is considered the best release this year. Of course, GS still helps on Trad 4 qbs if you have ap available. HRM is another popular ability. Though now that there are cards who get the various apprentice abilities for 0 ap, this is another place you can save ap if you use those players.
Not sure if it's a must have but roaming deadeye is very cheesy if you roll out a lot.
Last I saw, most comp players seem to be of the opinion that gift wrapped is a necessary ability for qbs. Most people on here that I would trust with gameplay advice also seem to think it's a must have. It's most noticeable with high balls since it's practically necessary if you want to complete those.
Yeah, it's mostly a zone meta this so most of the route running abilities are just ok. They still have their uses but you don't need them. That might change if man ever suddenly becomes meta but I sorta doubt that will happen this year. Abilities like jukebox and evasive just provide more value for yac opportunities than the route running abilities provide against the occasional man player.
Re: Can someone explain please

Thanks for adding this, I didn’t think deep enough to give a full explanation of how it works.
phatalerror said:An additional detail here: To increment a play toward enabling the X-factor, the player must be on the field. If you sub a player in and out, the plays out don't count against the ability, and the plays out won't get you closer to turning it back on.
