EA puts no serious effort into facial likenesses on most legends, they just slap generic faces (see the Joe Namath that looks like Dan Fouts). That undermines the suspension of disbelief and the RPG element.

Finally, my team was for practical purposes at an end game at 98/98/98 in February - 6 months into the season for the game. No shiny gold 99 to be dropped going forward will be any better on the field than what I already have. What used to be a 12 month game has been effectively cut in half.

Add to that the horrid H2H matchmaking and toxicity and the nail just got pounded into the MUT coffin for me.

I get not everyone cares about real NFL history and could care less if EA dropped a gold 99 Ryan Leaf with 99's across the board. I'm just not one of those guys.

Footnote to the kids at EA: Johnny Unitas was not Steve Young, not a runner. He was a statue in the pocket.
