Exactly! There's also 89 Andre Reed, Mike Vrabel, Bruce Matthews, and Steve Montana that all need upgrades
kaotikords said:I think Thresholds/abiltities/discounts are the biggest factors.
I havent looked at Youngs abilities/discounts yet but if they are that much better/end game then yeah its good but I would rather them cycle older ones. Theres still a handful of 89-91s they havent done but theyre recycling 92-94 already. Take bettis for example, hes one of the heaviest rb in the league. He still has a base 89 with nothing on it. Id rather him get a 98+ at this point as his next upgrade but hed be the best power back with free Bruiser and 1 ap tank. Or on the D side, Deacon Jones could get ETE/DON for 1 AP total at this point.
Re: When is a card worth an upgrade?
Re: Wildcard Wednesday

Yea that's a bit much. However I do feel we're getting close to the next team diamonds drop. Probably next 2 weeks
smsteuck said:Agreed. They need to start upgrading the 92 Team Diamonds. And Team Diamonds 2 needs to come out (it did around this time last year). EA can erase some of the negatives from all of their mistakes and poor choices for the first half of this Madden by focusing on providing lots of content and eliminating all of the errors they seem to have with every launch. Judging by the launch of Season 3, though, that may be wishing for too much.
When is a card worth an upgrade?
Re: Wildcard Wednesday

I run a legends tt right now to play online (I'd run a niners otherwise) and I do wish there were more current players. However, EA needs to add more legends and not recycle 93s into 96
smsteuck said:Likewise. I'm a fan of getting more current players, and both of these promos will provide that. I love Legends, but EA has been heavily focused on them this year while many of our TTs are being neglected at various positions because EA keeps recycling the same Legends over and over.
Re: Wildcard Wednesday

True. I was more excited for the Wildcard Wednesdays. Was a favorite promo set of mine from last year.
smsteuck said:We're also getting AKA back for Mondays, but only with current players.

Re: Upgrades Made?

Nice nice. Those CH2 96s were pretty cheap at one point, so nice job there grabbing them
mubby33 said:built Byars twice and kept one, bought Young and Nelson. Then turned around an ripped a bunch of CH2 TP packs. Pulled several 93s and a bunch of 89 along with LTD Smith sold for 880k. Back up to 7 million where I started Thursday morning.
Re: Upgrades Made?

Dang! Made some high-profile upgrades. And you still kept some cash for later. Smart man
Gent said:I sold off most of my non LTD players a couple of days ago hoping for a crash. Didn't do too bad overall.
Was able to add Byars, Thomas Davis, 5 of the BND 93s from one of the CH sets, Sapp, and Elway. Hit 95 overall and was able to keep around 7 million in coins for upgrades later.
