Yall killing this dude for buying the deluxe version is hilarious. Based on the logic I am reading, there is no such thing as NMS unless you waited on the game to release on gamepass or something. If yal cheap mfs was too broke to pay an extra 20 bucks to get ncaa and the points, get off the game and get a job, or sell something. Its a video game who cares. Yall are what’s wrong with this game and take this shit waaayyy too serious lol.
No money spent 92 overall team
What an incredibly dumb argument on a forum full of dumb arguments. You have a theoretical principle being argued about the literal terminology being used. Clearly we don’t have doctors or scientists speaking here.
If yal cheap mfs actually bought the deluxe you would see it’s actually not much of an advantage other than the team you start with. There’s no players available first of all and no money being spent because it’s launch week. This year the free season pass players were better than anything from the deluxe version. So if he said he was gifted the deluxe version by his wife, he still not NMS? Who knew the criteria that needed to be met. He said he is NMS and theres people offended. You guys are clowns!!

I'm married with 2 children, a full time job plus 2 side hustles... Meaning I have AT MOST 2 hours a day to play, many days just 1 hour and I have gone 3 weeks without picking up a controller at least TWICE since Madden 25 dropped (plus more shorter breaks of a week or less). I received the 4600 points from buying the Deluxe Edition and the 15 dollars for Season 3's Premium Field Pass (I instantly regretted this). Other than that. I have been NMS.
i made just under 300k from the 4600 points (most of it was Plat players I used for 2 or 3 weeks before quickselling). Those first 3 weeks all the coins I had were from grinding Challenges/Solo Battles/Solo Seasons then investing them into sets that gave me 1.5k - 2.5k profit per set. I'd list then play while waiting for them to sell and then reinvest. When I got over 1m, I started making investments (mostly buying players for cheap early in the week that would play on my team then selling them over the weekend for small profit).
Eventually I found 3 or 4 players that I could snipe for cheap and sell for profit overnight and rinsing and repeating (these 3 or 4 changed roughly every few weeks). Then Id go to the store; find deals that introduced a flood of certain cards into the market then go scoop as many of those cards as I could afford. Then wait 2 or 3 days and sell them for a tidy profit when supply dries up and they go back up in price.
Sometimes, I'd take a loss during a week. But I leaned on my experience trading forex and stocks: I always locked away a reserve I never touched (either as raw coins or LTD/Platinums). That way I always had capital if a deal presented itself and I was never in danger of blowing my account
It took me about a month to make my first 1m. I'm now at 14m with another 2m and I only recently moved into Legends in H2H. This is because I'm far from elite at playing the actual game (but Ive gotten better as the year goes). II've never played ranked, champs or gauntlet and I played 4 games of ZC MUT Draft (won 2). I say this to dispel the notion that I've stacked coins by winning games and getting SB rewards (my best run was going 8-0 then falling 1 game short earlier this week). I plan to be at 20m in COINS and 2-3m in Binder investments going into the SB promo.
My team is usually 90% BNDs and/or LTDs. But I spoiled myself over Christmas with a 95 OVR team (which I've now sold back). I plan to start spending coins during the SB Promo through Sugar Rush then Ultimate Legends & Golden Tickets. Ive played every other Madden since 21 (21, 23 and 25) and gotten better at this as I've gone along. If I can do it with my age, schedule and mediocre game play then 70-80% of you young guns can do MUCH better.
PS: I'm in a discord with several guys who have upwards of 30m coins and are true "No Money Spent". I'd love to hear from other NMS Players doing well. Also feel free to share tips, ask questions, etc. I'm sure the community will be glad to assist.

I whole heartedly agree that it’s possible to earn coins. However I disagree that it’s possible to grind the game casually and field a competitive team as you could in years past. Imo this is the worst year of MUT in the history of the game mode. Halved player base cuz of CUT. 99s and 0 APabilities at all 22 positions in December. Paywall Field PASSES. The last 100 players I’ve matched up against have 98 overall teams. I haven’t seen a single 93 overall opponent. MUT is finally cooked I think after years and years of being on life support. I’ve played for 10+ years. I’m not one of those guys who complains about the general game either. I love madden. But I’m taking a break from MUT next year. This is rediculous.

Lol... I'm glad someone said this. I decided to keep quiet cause I wasn't aware they had the copyright on the term "No Money Spent" 😄
I remember the deluxe edition selling for the same price as the standard edition on the PSN store a month after the game dropped for a limited time. In that scenario, you would be able to say that a player is nms, imo.

I thought the post was insightful and helpful. Makes sense now why most NMS players have it has their name and play madden like it’s life or death. Wow!
It’s crazy that people are taking a conversation about the integrity and progression of Maddens micro transactions which are now into the free field pass. To whether or not buying the deluxe edition for $30 more is nms or not. That’s kind of the epitome of this community rn. The devs at EA are literally ripping this community apart with microtransactions and choosing to half the MUT player base with the release of CUT and we’re mad about whether or not someone who bought the deluxe edition is nms or not. F off !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean, sure it CAN be done, but most people (especially younger kids or the bulk of the casual twenty-somethings) lack your knowledge and experience with financial markets. I'm not sure coin stack is the measure of success in a video game. Sure it helps to be able to fund a decent squad, but if yer spending the majority of yer ~2 hours daily working the auction house, clearly you won't have time to try and compete in Ranked play, let alone anywhere else.
We all have limited time on this planet, how or what/where to spend those minutes is the real challenge. At the end of the day, we're ALL paying for it, in one way or another. Time is money after all, so two hours or ten or twenty bucks -- these are basically the same thing, at least in my mind. A person has to build an awful lot of ~1.5-2.5k (per) sets to get started with this scenario. Already starting to sound an awful lot liek virtual wr0k. Most kids cannot even be patient enough to wait for a proper "snipe" let alone think about how to build towards the future... and very few are going to have any experience with Forex. Heck, if they did, those people would almost certainly be better off obsessing and learning how to trade crypto, versus spending hours per day navigating EA's tightly controlled markets.
NMS is basically a fallacy, but i respect and appreciate anyone who is able to remain true to their principles and rise above or otherwise avoid these bullshit "pay to win" (P2W) game mechanics, which have zero business being part of ANY online, competitive h2h title... especially not one purporting to be a "simulation" football franchise.
It's hella fun to play virtual GM. I waste so much time team building week to week, so i have no place to point fingers at anyone else, but taking these type conversations from open / public forums to private Discord servers is bad for the community. It splinters us into smaller and smaller groups and removes any transparency from the process or conversation.
Winning the lottery also "can" be done, but it's not an approach i'd recommend for most.

Problem isn’t integrity or micro transactions. If you or anyone else wants to take a stand and not spend any money, that’s great. More power to you. That is a separate convo. People replying to what should have been a positive post saying he’s essentially clout chasing and calling him names all because he bought a deluxe version and did not meet their definition of NMS is ignorant. He’s actually giving the NMS community knowledge but yall so busy dinking and dunking, playing keep away for a half and qb sneaking for first downs yal missed the whole message.

Farkle, just typed out yet another lengthy response and somehow fat-fingered the "Submit" button, so POOF... goner. Something something, grumpy old man, shouting at clouds i think is what i was trying to say.
I'll continue repeating this til i'm blue in the face, but anyone suggesting that this is a trivial procedure that anyone can do, with minimal time investment is doing a massive disservice to the community at large. I'd wager that a small percentage of average Madden fanbois also possess any significant experience working Forex markets, which could be directly applied to Ultimate Team.
The game is clearly pay to win, can we please stop pretending and debating this nonsense? The gap between the Haves and Have-Nots has never been wider. Sure, it's also feasible to field a somewhat competitive squad on a budget, but if folks are spending their limited time learning and working the auction house / MUT markets, then other aspects of their game will suffer -- such as team building, or learning how to evaluate and identify which cards are elite, versus which are just the latest shiny new toy that EA is going to use to dangle and hope they can extract even more time, money or resources from the community.
NMS is not a real thing, it's a community-made badge of honor. If you play Madden, you've given Electronic Arts Orlando / Tiburon SOME amount of time, money or resources. Meaning, you've paid something to retain the privilege to play this bad, broken, buggy ass mess of a game.

Meanwhile, OP thinks that his years of experience trading stocks or working Forex markets is something that the majority of the community can just apply and transfer to MUT markets, haaa... but suuuure, anybody can do it, riiight? This is a casino for kids, EA is taking candy from babies and there's a not insignificant portion of the community that thinks if they just big-brain this stuff a little bit harder, someday they'll be able to afford all of the latest and greatest cards/content.
I don't believe for a second that anyone "casual" has ~30M coins and a competitive squad at a mere ~2 hours per day. Simply learning which abilities even work requires more effort than that. EA doesn't communicate anything, half the time i wonder if they even understand how the game plays.

Am I missing something here or do you just have trouble staying on topic? Judging from your vocab it’s most likely the latter. He originally said he is able to keep a few million coin stack by just playing 2 hours perday yet he says he spends time sniping and selling certain cards nightly on the app for coins and working different parts of the auction block. That’s more than a 2 hour commitment. Obviusly the deluxe edition has minimal effect on long term coin stacks he said he only profited 300k on delux bonuses. The people bashing him for buying deluxe edition are the ones that sit in the auction block 18 hours per day and have dedicated thier life to MUT coina and that’s why they are upset. In thier mind the deluxe edition purchase was a slap the face to the time they wasted sniping on the block. I’m sorry My reply wasn’t to your liking but it wasn’t for you. It was a response to his comment:
That if you don’t dedicate your life on a daily basis to MUT coins the only rebuddle would be to spend thousands. I won’t be responding anymor to this thread. IQ here is on the downward spiral.
