I'm an equal opportunity opponent.  I'm happy to beat down kids who spend tons on mommy's credit card, just the same as "NMS" or anywhere in between.  Makes not a lick of difference.  I'm just a fat ole "NMS" style pay pig.  I've never given EA any US Dollars, only paid with credit card.  Which clearly isn't money by your somewhat loose way of defining things, as anything placed on a card doesn't count.  So thank you, we'll continue to be NMS-brothers in arms.  🎊🎊🎊

When something has no value to you, there is almost always someone out there who would value it more. The anecdote of One Red Paperclip is a good primer for the concept, and is the principle behind my auction house activities.  It's fundamental to accumulating coins.

I'll give you a tip I employed for the first time this year after picking up MUT in March 2023: If you won't be likely to use an item immediately, try to sell it at 5-10% of market for a given OVR, and make sure to ask for much more if something about the item makes it premium: A item that can't be made from sets, an item for a hot team, an item that is a linchpin for certain themes or motivators, and so forth. These latter items tend to hold their value longer. Know when to hold an item rather than sell it.

Quite frankly, the thing I screwed up on in my first year of MUT was trying to build sets to directly make my team stronger. I almost never do this now. I build the most profitable sets and sell the resulting items, and then buy on auction at a usually lower price the item I want. One user gets what they want, and I offset part or even all of my costs to acquire what I wanted. (For all I know, the other guy did the same thing.) Of course, if building the item really is the cheapest way to acquire it, then do that.

One more thing: Let the coins come to you. Sometimes I log into MUT, look at the Auction House activity, and I realize that today is not a day I will effectively convert my leisure time into MUT coins. Forcing things will just waste time, or even result in losses.

But I get why you would have thought a user with now 17 million coins couldn't be NMS. I didn't think that was possible until I gained experience in the Auction House and adapted some very basic market concepts for the MUT environment.

It's NMS, as in "No Money Spent". There's no reference to where the money came from. If you want to be MCS, as in "Mommy's Cash Spent", it's your gift, and you can do what you want with it.

Also made top 100 at 89 ovr before I got a 40 to 50k in quick sells from the pack after christmas I jus wanted to test out  odds and like always ea fucked me over so thats why I will no spend any money from my personal income gift cards or points they gift to me through Xbox yes I’ve had ea send me 500 points for no reason before am I jus supposed to let it sit there no obviously ima spend it yall take this game so serious grinding challenges 90 percent of my team is bnd my best player now is Julio or my upgraded zay flowers

I'm not sure why people even have to tell people they are NMS. Who gives a shit? You're not any better than the person who bought packs and the person who bought packs isn't any better than the person that didn't buy packs. There is a weird thing that NMS people do in order to make themselves superior and i'm not in either boat, i don't care if someone spends money or not. My only thing is if you do buy packs, don't cry when you don't pull shit because odds suck ass and we all know it.

Very interesting topic here. although I believe it can be accomplished. It’s very hard to have a very good team to complete with the people that are spending money, but there’s so many things in this game that stand out that are not worth spending money 

 I’ve come to the point there is absolutely no point to spend money for packs , they are just not good at all. They’re never in your favor not to mention you get three cards or maybe four the value isn’t there and then you’re pretty much paying for the same cards every year how many times am I gonna have Randy Moss or Lawrence Taylor on my team and then when you do get these players on your team there is really no difference you barely notice anything so it makes the purchase feel wasted
