Uh... we know what the ability does. So I don't need to prove it, it has one effect, extending the deactivation requirements so you stay in the zone longer. It won't stop momentum shift from keeping you from heating up once you are out of the zone. The only counter to momentum shift is an unstoppable ability that cannot be knocked out of the zone. Other than that, momentum shift will always reset your x-factor requirements and force you to wait to heat up again every time.
I have extensively tested every ability in the game over the years, and with the exception of a couple murky abilities I can tell you exactly what 98% of the abilities in this game do or don't do. Keep in mind some abilities are broken and don't work at all, and a lot of abilities are just worse versions of other abilities.
In the same way indoor baller, clutch, and closer make it so there are less requirements to heat up, persistent makes it so there are more requirements to deactivate. That is the only thing the ability does and it does not counter any other ability in the game, or have any on-field effect. It is purely for keeping your player activated longer by increasing deactivation requirements.
