THE BUS

So, I managed to get my best pull of the year today: LTD Patrick Mahomes from one of the 3 TVPs I did today. The 380k I got from selling him got me to enough coins for the 3 97s needed for 99 Mahomes. I picked up BND Ray Lewis, Jason Kelce, and Jerome Bettis.

Needless to say, my run game has absolutely TAKEN OFF. In a H2H game, The Bus amassed 107 rushing yards... in the 1st quarter. Warrick Dunn has been great, but I've never had such a great run game before. Who knows, maybe it's actually Jason Kelce doing most of the work (I put SP and Nasty Streak on Jason) but Bettis completely took over the game. I made multiple people quit after The Bus trucked their user.

I'm running Bruiser and Backfield Master, for anyone who wants to know.

Wow, I’ve heard he’s not great but after this I might need to try him

I too enjoy the Bus. I actually sold King Henry because I liked Bus’ agility and cuts a lot better. Sure Henry’s X factor was good and he broke a lot of tackles, but he just felt so stiff to me. The Super Bowl Strat and legends Chem on Bus made him my go-to.

This^^^^^.     I was using CH2 Keith Byars and while he was still doing great, I wanted to see if there was a better alternative.  I tried the 97 Bettis and he was a faster, more agile version of Byars.  I don't throw to the HB much, so Byars might have been better at that aspect, but Bettis has been outstanding for me.  He kind of feels like my end-game HB at this point, but I am sure that a 98 or 99 will be released that will tempt me.    I was thinking they might save Bo Jackson for a 98 or 99, which would have made me try him, but not spending the coins for a parallel move at HB.

I have the same thinking. Bo has better speed but I wasn’t sold on his abilities. I’m going to hold out hope that I get an ultimate legend Emmitt Smith soon, and until then, keep rolling with Bus.

I’ve been using the Bus the last week I’ve been playing as HB1 on our Squads team.  He’s been great. We got rid of Henry before that due to some rumble patterns, but the Bus has been a freak, even without his X-factor activated hardly at all.

Hes been a great pickup even when it seems like the D is going to nail him 3 yards behind the LOS, he still pulls off a first down run after some broken tackles.

Yeah he feels so agile for 256 lbs

I have him and Bo honestly Bo has been better for me. Bettis is actually a better receiving back which is kinda how his abilities are set up.  Bo gets evasive and bruiser for 1 AP. When I ran Bus primarily I had Tank, Bruiser, and  BF master on him for 2 AP.

He in fact does still cause me to say words that aren’t appropriate around my children. I’ve gotten better at stopping him, but when he breaks 4 tackles a run, sometimes there’s not much we can do but chalk it up and take the L. ☹️

Yeah imagine him with Gronk at FB and secure protector on all your o lineman and Delanie at TE along with Zimmerman at WR and Lamar at QB with nasty streak on tackles and puller elite on guards with post up on center.

Yeah dude, that's pretty much my set up, except, Mahomet at qb, perry at fb, gronk, delanie and big dawg at te. I run a lot of 2-3 te sets and it's fire. Played a h2h last night, it's 3rd and 20, I run a draw up the middle with bus for a first down, holy jesus!

A defense might not make it to the 2nd quarter before quitting if they have to deal with that all game.
