im so stupid lol, my bad man
sooner12m said:Agreed on that point..as a ravens fan you obviously want your guy,who did have a one of the best seasons ever. But Allen did way more with less, beat both the 1 seeds and locked up division with 6 weeks left in season. Take out Lamar, you still have Henry, 1st team all pro wr, among other players on team.. easily 10-7 team without Lamar. Take out Allen and it's the Cleveland browns. It's more than numbers,it's also how you elevate those around you and produce. Historic offense, has more consecutive 30 points games than the 99 rams and 07 patriots, Allen Sat almost 2 full games worth cause of the bills blowing out teams
I completely disagree with you. James cook who had the same TDs as Henry, a top 3 oline, great vet receiver that didn't do much, shakir that was 3rd in YAC yards this season, a very promising rookie wr, nice wr3/4 that can produce, good run blocking wr, and a top 5 TE group. that doesn't sound like less to me. Zay was not a 1st team all pro wr, he snubbed Brian Thomas Jr out of the pro bowl. Bateman finally broke out, mark started slow (car crash) and ended the REGULAR season on a good note, worse oline than Allen's, don't think Henry could carry this team like he did the titans either. Lamar produced more than Allen this season, look at the numbers. Lamar had less drop backs and attempts and still had 400+ more passing yards and 350+ more rushing yards too. Ravens offense was also historic this season too, they were just behind the bills in scoring stuff. Lamar is the first QB to ever pass for more than 4k yards and rush for another 900, doing that with a 1.9k running back is very impressive. Lamar sat out of plenty games too, one of the games Allen sat out was the 8 minutes left in the 4th after he got blow out and humiliated by the Ravens 35-10 when they had a bottom 5 defense. Lamar destroyed the Texans and broke the all-time QB rushing record that game, Allen was 9/27 in loss vs the Texans.
Yes he beat both #1 seeds and locked up his division with 6 weeks left, but that is because he is in one of the worst divisions in football. Dolphins got derailed with Tua's inhury and Tyreek didn't do great, Jets defense was shit and Rodgers isnt the same, Pats are the Pats. Ravens have a hard division with the Steelers who knows how to handle Lamar, Bengals who always make it a shootout, and the Browns always putting up a good fight with the help of thier defense.

slightly, but Lamar had a better season

Statistically, maybe, but the MVP is the player the carried their team, the ravens would have been a fringe playoff team without Jackson, the Bills would be picking in the top 5 without Allen

both would be picking atleast top 10

There are some that will accept this logical argument: Not every statistical achievement by a quarterback is individual in its nature. It didn't happen in a vacuum. There were contributions from the linemen, contributions from the coaches, contributions from a lot of pieces that went ignored in AP voting because the AP is full of guys that literally only evaluate players on the basis of statistical merit. Many of those guys don't have time to cover exclusively football, much less understand the game at a highly technical level. 'Guy throws a lot of touchdowns and few interceptions and wins games? He must be an all-time great.'
I have no real respect for AP Voting. It's better than the aggregate of fan voting for Pro Bowls, but there are so many individual fans that know football better than the majority of AP voters, many of which never played the sport, and have never really demonstrated anything other than that they are effectively parrots of the local sports media echo chamber.
Saquon won't get it. But he should get it. He deserves it.

I get it, as a ravens fan you know you're guy inside and out. I'm not saying Allen or Lamar is going to win,it's just alot tighter race than some may think. I'm a giants fan to the core, but I also have personal favorite players i root for, and Lamar and Allen are at the top of the list. Both were told there not good enough to be successful, granted there 1st round QBs,but weren't really given a shot to succeed by many. I love how both proved a lot of people wrong and they both go about it the right way, both are phenomenal QBs and it sucks only 1 can win..even though Peyton and McNair spit it in early 2000's

Lol..have to agree with what you have said. It shouldn't be all about numbers ,it is MVP..most valuable player..not best statistical player and usually that's what it comes down to. I believe it's a lot tighter race than some may think, and I personally am rooting for Allen cause he did way more with less
