Online play is super rage inducing, so I’ve stuck to offline play and have a good team NMS and have had a good time this year

I’m a sim player so I hate any of that shit. If the guy hasn’t played there don’t make the card. On the flip side someone like Taysom Hill should have TE, QB, FB, HB

In my opinion, one of the best years so far. While there have been some cash grabs, I have been able to build a decent and competitive team without spend in much after buying the deluxe edition. I ignore things like the Crystal release, as they are for the "pro" players.

Plenty of free cards and budget beasts out there.

I feel much the same and have concluded (it is only a guess) that about 5 years or so when I started MUT I would grind for cards through solos, challenges, some H2H and working the AH hard...it was a grind, but it was rewarding because I worked for the upgrades and they seemed to matter...the last few years the grind is just straight painful and extremely time consuming...so...I took to spending some cash (not a ton, but enough to field a solid team)...well...everyone else seems to be doing the same, so spending money gave me little if any competitive advantage...it seems to me that MUT now just pay (pay with cash or pay with time)...and pay a lot (time or money...and I mean...a lot).  So really no sense of accomplishment for me.  I have taken a different approach and just focus on enjoying the journey and not trying to get to a certain destination (level or quality of team)...as grinding or paying (I guess if you did one of the other to an extreme level it may work) doesn't really result in being competitive.

I personally think the gameplay is the best it has been in years, but you are completely correct on the money part for content. Every game I play people with the best teams in the game (I have a 80 ovr Raiders TT) and it just becomes a hell game even though I'm way better than the dude I'm playing, which makes it way harder to earn coins and get better cards even though I'm skilled at the game. This issue does typically resolve itself around Christmas though with a bunch of budget cards being more than usable and comparable to the best cards in the game

I feel like there's so many good free cards  this year and I also like how they did  beast but I do feel you. I start to get bored when there's no new content.

until abilities take over, you absolutely can compete with gold players

kyron johnson and barno are 2 of the best players to run the texas 4 man with

Maybe it might be that everything feels the same. I only play on weekends so each time I play it's fun as I'm not playing everyday. If you are playing everyday then maybe consider playing every other day. You might not be as bored. Also, maybe you can try playing other gamemodes as well.
