Cheating is gaining an unfair advantage through trickery or deception to break the rules. No rules are broken, as the game doesn’t call OPI, despite OPI being called in other situations. :))

...a player bumps another player two or three feet out of their line, disrupting their stride? Yeah, that gets called. If the same criteria used in officiating in the NFL were used based on the result of "swerving" in Madden, "swerving" would be considered "gaining an unfair advantage".

I'm calling OPI. As I would if my opponent made an illegal move playing a friendly game of chess. There is no such thing as friendly MUT, because there is no such thing as a toxic player that can be compelled to right a wrong committed intentionally in the game.

Madden's programmatic limitations don't make the illegal legal, it just lets toxic players get away with in-game murder.

You can dislike it, but it’s the madden simulation of hand fighting. 

Cheating would be directly fucking with the code to make it never call penalties on you. Moving your receiver to jockey for position is obviously not cheating, and your only justification is “irl it would sometimes get called for a penalty” when I legit don’t believe every swerve is getting called

it’s not wrong if it’s counterable, skill based, within the game and equally doable by both sides. 

I’m extremely done with this argument, as the belief that anything that’s overpowered in the game or wouldn’t look identical in real life is “cheating” is ridiculous

all these rpo players think theyre so good lmaoo, I haven't really had a problem stopping all the other meta cheese plays but I just get fried by rpos. yall got any advice?

What is most frustrating to me is that video games have traditionally been my escape from the nonsense of this world. Go figure that if this world figures prominently into the gaming experience, I would fail to find the purpose of this pastime.

The thing with RPO's is tendency. In my experience, some people spam RPO's at the goaline or as a crutch when other things they're trying to do don't work.  It's a way to put you in a bind to open up other things. So, if you're shutting down other schemes or if they're around the goaline, they can start to be pretty predictable. If you run man, it shouldn't be a problem most of the time if you're aligned on the the player. If you run zone, run hard flats or man up the inside defender pre snap. You can also user between the WR and the DE and try to pick it off. For my defense, toughest ones are out of Bunch TE and Bunch X Nasty. I normally have to manually align my inside defender to outside leverage because they line up out of position.

Yea but that’s not what sometimes, I’ve had guys legit run into my CB on purpose to push them out the way. Doing pass lead down and user catching with your WR to come down away from the CB is skill and essential the same as a back shoulder throw. There is no issue with that. 

but when they run into your player and you get the madden bump going on where players just don’t move the worse the game will call defensive PI that’s something that is a clear coding issue that people take advantage of

Your not smart you just confirmed it’s PI by this post, I also don’t think you fully understand the initial post.

They are running full speed into the defender, moving them out the way to make a ton of space the same as a push, if they can’t get a catch they  bump  enough  to get a PI call. That is not trying to go for the ball.  I’ve had guys do this as well and your CB just can’t move you get the Air Hump can’t move animation. 

I feel the wording might be a little off with the swerving because there is a completely acceptable, pass lead down and switch to the wr to user catch and come back to the ball. But you are never touching the CB. It is essentially the same a a back shoulder throw and takes actual skill, not taking advantage of a messed up portion of code 

But that’s not what we are talking about the scum try and break the game and get away with O PI and even worse will get a DPI call from what they did
