A very interesting topic. Are you sure POP wasn’t just excited and wanted to share that? Maybe not. My point is I believe you may have cause and effect flip flopped. Just my opinion. I’m not going to hound a person for their hustle and doing what is necessary to make that hustle/business as successful as possible. Consumer protections only extend so far. At some point it’s on the person clicking the buy with $$ button and I understand addiction is a factor as well.
Addiction is a touchy subject and ultimately still reliant on the individual in question to make a different choice. Just being unable to do so. Do you want some random stranger to be able to tell you “We have determined using this standardized system to evaluate your spending patterns that you are in fact an addict. So you will be remanded to the custody of the closest rehab facility and your spending will henceforth be monitored and controlled by this government agency.”
For every protection we take or are forced to take we lose at least one freedom.

I started playing MUT three years ago with my sons who were 9 & 10 at the time. As a total noob a guy like Pop was very helpful and I got a lot of value out of his kind of content. I hate to tar Pop with the same brush as some of the other creators. There is no doubt the pay to play aspect of the game is unfortunate and largely unnecessary.
Agreed, when i first got into MUT, i thought Pop had all this secret insider type information -- i didn't realize that he was just parroting back what was discussed on the regular GMM streams, or reading us the patch notes, etc.
I think within the first ~30-60 days of discovering MUT, i had already outgrown POP. And since I've figured out much more of the game on my own and through this wonderful community, i've found his information to not only be suspect, but he's actively harming his audience with horrendous advice. The specific example that sticks in my craw was around this time last year, he'd be saying silly shit liek "it's April, you don't need Gift-Wrapped." Nothing could be further from the truth. Gift-Wrapped is one of THE best abilities on offense, we'd be hard pressed to mention another 1AP ability that is more impactful in real gameplay scenarios. I don't want to run that ability, it's stupid that we have to have arcade style abilities for our professional football players to make basic in-game moves or plays (such as catching the ball), but now i just pretend everyone is Deebo Samuel and they can't get open against man, nor catch wide open passes without the appropriate abilities. GW ensures the game doesn't rob us and that is priceless. In April and May and June, etc.
Not to mention, if your video intro involves screaming liek a damn child, i probably am not interested in your content. I'm simply too old for that shit. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY, IT'S POPULAR STRANGER. I prefer substance over hype -- which is rich seeing as how i'm a full blown MUT-addict. There is zero substance to this bad, broken, buggy ass mess of a game.
At the end of the day, it's hard for me to fault any of these schmucks. Don't hate the players (or creators), hate the game. EA should not be allowed to run an unregulated casino for literal children.

To be fair the money you spend at bars only last hours.. so madden cards have better value.

But if a bar is overcharging me I can just hop to one next door, plus the girls and memories last longer than a few hours.

Adults aren't allowed to get hype anymore?🤣💀😭 Lmao, I was with everything you said until you just dissed him for an excited intr. It's not like he does the classic YouTuber voice and has false hype and shit, it's just the intro.
rip8524 said:How about EA banning coin buying accounts and all these guys promote coins
Never got that one lol
I buy coins, thats the only way you can compete and have a decent team....

Nothing wrong with that, i spend ton of money , wrong is EA banning the accounts that buy

This is the biggest lie ever.

If you spend a ton of money and you're not playing for cash or competing in the MCS, i'm not sure why you're spending a ton of money tbh. To win online? And that's not even guaranteed

I make many times more than MCS champs make in year in my business so I can spend cause this is what i do for fun building a strong team also which is my past time on weekends once kids and wife leave me alone and enjoy building strong team! Love football so need something after NFL season is over, yes i try to win too but i am alright. I think its just that feel of building god team i guess we all have. Like we discussed earlier some folks spend it expensive dinners , expensive drink, some spend on virtual world
I know people laugh at spending money on game but to each their own

That's fine but it still doesn't make sense if you don't make money from it. The MCS guys i understand but a random online player needing the best cards in the game just to play online? Idk. Do what you want, it doesn't matter to me but i never understood why people spend a lot of money on the game when it doesn't really translate to wins.
