Boldin was solid I actually thought he would be a menace for me with the 49ers’ TT but he didn’t do anything out the norm and didn’t produce like Moss and Parham did so I sold him
I continue to waffle on my setup, specifically for Boldin -- even with 99 CTH stat, he still bats and swats at a ton of balls if I don't have the 2AP Shutdown (passive) ability on him, which doubles as both One Step Ahead & Pick Artist. I'd prefer to merely run OSA & Deep Route KO, but somebody is always lacking either KO abilities, or Pick Artist. Kind of unfortunate we still are basically required to run Pick Artist if we wanna make any plays on the ball, even in mid-late July... oh well. Kind of an indictment on how little stats truly matter and the entire game is based around abilities, above all else.
As far as Lester Hayes, you are again spot on here, if i only run 0AP Pick Artist on him, in addition to the 1AP (starts-on) Universal Coverage X-factor, then he's without any KOs for more than half the game. Feels somewhat wasteful or redundant to put Deep Route KO on top of him with the UC ability, but that's often how i approach it. Although, basically the same scenario with Boldin. If i don't have Pick Artist on him, then he can't catch shit, only swats at the ball instead of making plays. So lately i'm living dangerously and skipping the DRKO, only running PA + UC.
Curious that Moss has played well for you, i found him to be severely overrated. He's tall, but kind of lumbers around and PA + Acrobat kind of sucks, at least compared with DJ Turner's PA + Deep Route KO for 0AP stack. Or even Christian Gonzalez, or Emmanuel Forbes RP.
