I think you are correct; it was not a bait and switch. But it was definitely a switch and they didn't have to bait anything if you look at the most recent historical evidence. 
And I am not upset in the least. I was expecting a last-minute reduction in conversion rate, and lo and behold it happened! I must be clairvoyant!

I made a shit ton from this promo. I don't think it was bad. I took advantage of 60-80K-priced 96OVRs just as much as the next guy. That's all irrelevant.

If you're ignoring the conversion delay then everything you say makes sense. But you know it, I know it, MUTLeaks knows it, and anyone else with a brain knows it: EA changed the conversion rate at the last minute because they are scum-sucking, money-grubbing, greedy pieces of excrement who mismanaged another drop of LTDs. I will not so much as open my mouth to blame our fellow and much-too-loyal player base for feeling misled, let alone will I keep poking at them by labeling their conversion rate theory as "speculation." It was only speculative after EA delayed and changed the conversion rate. Just stahp.

I am really not trying to be difficult or argumentative here, but will you answer this honestly:
Do you think EA had originally, or at any preivious time, set a conversion rate of 20:1 coin-to-karrots before Tuesday?

The honest answer is that I don't know for sure. Like you and everyone else, I find the timing odd for sure. So they very well may have. I also think there's a chance that they are trying to make changes here and there to help prevent MUTLeaks from getting everything right. Just a personal feeling I have. And I don't disagree that people can feel the way they want to about it. It's been a pretty rough year, no argument from me there. My sole point was that we really shouldn't call it a bait and switch. I held onto karrots. I lost the 20% too. I get it. But I do look at this from a different perspective. EA wants engagement. I don't really expect them to overly reward those who just held onto karrots. I see both sides. I don't think you and I are disagreeing. I think we just look at it differently, but wind up with the same conclusion.

Madden 26 will be for regs. MUT is crazy, the time / effort to stay AOTC is nuts. It was fun for me coming back for 24-25. But ya I don't need another season of MUT, time to take a break from that. I would want to spend because it honestly is fun to spend especially at game release. Just saerching for ratings is pretty nice.

But I can go thru depth charts on some teams in regs, I just wanna play some carefree football in 26.

i put my stuff into cards, and eggs, I was really happy with the results as well as when I did it in easter, so I never understood the karrot convertion thing

As someone who hasn’t played mut in the past 2 years I can confirm that gaming is so much better without it

Why do folks feel need to tell the world they will not be playing any more quitting MUT!

I never get these threads. I dnt think anyone cares of 1 out of 100s of thousands of player quits Mut

If you dnt enjoy it, quit, thats what i do , when i get bored i leave the game until dec next year but defnitely dnt feel inclined to tell the whole community to hear my sob story.

As a struggling addict who replaces one vice for another and then for another, I think theres some value in hearing others talk about the other side. Seeing how EA is able to invest in finding new ways each year to prey on those like myself (ie step-up offers, inflating the market with controls, mechanisms that encourage daily interactions etc.), I don't mind hearing others celebrating the idea of touching grass/finding balance in the increasingly slippery EA slope. Happy for them. To each their own.

Considering the Sugar Rush LTD eggs always quicksold for 17-something-thousands Karrots, which worked out roughly to 350,000 when multiplied by 20, I don't think there was ever a reason to think the Karrots-to-coins redemption ratio would be anything but 1:20, except for the fact that MUTLeaks suggested it, and that with a caveat. For the same reason, I anticipated a price floor drop during the early days of the Sugar Rush program. I was surprised when it came as late as April 19, but that move was the clear indicator that counting on 1:25 was going to backfire.

Seriously did people think otherwise? 

It was an simple equation. It was always going to be 20 per. Since LTDs are 350k.

They originally was going to do a 25:1 rate but they fucked up with the LTD eggs being able to QS for karrots. That's why they delayed it and changed the ratio to 20:1

Ea didn’t rob anyone, you robbed yourself. Ea never said the conversion rate and everyone just listen to people on Twitter and YouTube. The conversion of 20 per was actually a great conversion and it was very  easy to make a bunch of coins from sugar rush.

EA has always done price floors when they don’t want the market to crater.

They did it with a promo late last year too. (I forget which one)

They have a vested interest in selling packs and pack offers. They won’t let people take advantage of the market to make unlimited coins.
