The 95 card has to be in the McCafrey card for the upgrade. You can get the 95 back when you downgrade.

If you haven’t done any yet, you should be able to get 32+ tokens to trade in at 16/ tokens a champion.

It should have been upgrade one of the free players with tokens, and upgrade the other with a 95. You shouldn’t have to do both
