I think running, rpo’s, etc are a cheap way to win that dumbs the game down…taking the easy way out.

 At the end of the day you are just cheating yourself because the best players in the world are able to dissect defenses and pass every play. 
I don’t mind people doing what they want to win, but for me I’d rather take the hard road to be an actual good player.

Running dominantly still takes stick skill otherwise everyone would be doing it. It's probably harder to run than pass with the same three plays.

Lmao you don’t need to run cheese to win. As bad as madden is you can still use some football knowledge and be good. 

1 you talk about competitive scene which is hilarious I don’t see your name anywhere near the MCS 😂 nor are you making any money playing so you winning means zero. Your own mom wouldn’t give a fuck. 

2. Running the ball is the least skill thing in madden, odds of turn overs go done dramatically now add in FT, vanguard, and speed boost what are you actually doing besides holding turbo and moving the stick up. 

3. If you look at the comp scene of people who actually make money none of them run the ball as there scheme  it’s not effective at a high level. Also the abilities/ needed for it to be are not in the game around that time the don’t allow the broken xfactors in the real comp scene. 

4. There are plays that people run online that think they are good and they do ban  them from the comp scene so your logic is terrible. 

If you need to basically use cheat codes to help you win you didn’t really win bud. No different then people in real sports taking steroids. Go into games running off meta plays and beating the scrubs that run the same broken shit it is much more rewarding.

So your ok with using a handicap to win 🤣 sounds like you should be sitting with the ladies using a smaller ball, shooting from a closer line. Your the type of guy that would I’d as a girl so you could “Win” in women’s sports since you can’t cut it in men’s

It’s ego driven as well. Some believe winning is all that matters and I suppose it does if you are trying to do tournaments or being a “pro”. But I just don’t see it that way because I’m just playing a video game. I make it fun for me to play. I don’t care if I lose, it just doesn’t matter that much to me. 

A lot of video games work this way now. You have to actively put limits on yourself instead of playing within the absolute meta strategy. If that is impossible for you then just don’t play the game I guess. 

Trust me I’ve been there with other games. Forcing myself to play meta and min max within the meta. And then you have trouble playing outside of meta because you will assuredly play against someone doing what you were doing, and you can’t fathom losing to that. But again that is just ego being a part of it.

Just ask yourself, dos it matter if I lose? Ask that one question. If the answer is yes, don’t play or play the cheese. Of the answer is no, well guess what you can play a myriad of ways and try all kinds of play styles, and treat it as a sandbox. That is where I have the most fun. But others will think differently and that is okay, too. 

I find it hilarious to watch a streamer sometimes, getting all flustered because their opponent is not throwing to their user lurk every play, or opponent is gaining yards on just some random routes. Like it’s just unimaginable that they get yards or scores. Calling people trash, scummy, as if streamer is getting their time wasted because someone has the audacity to play the game against them. This is childish behavior, and it’s derived from the idea that they have invested so much time into the game they feel like the opponent should have no chance. I find it hilarious and sad at the same time. There is a reason there is not much following on streams and such. It’s just not a good product to watch. 

I’ve rambled but there is a lot that is wrong with Madden and MUT, I could write a thesis on it. It really is wild. At the end of the day I feel like the Madden/MUT culture needs a huge change, but the way “rewards” are set up just brings out the worst possible outcomes, driven by ego and self worth, to a point where even personalities are affected. It’s just so interesting to look at lol.

It is crazy they act like it’s only one way to win the game they just all want the easiest way then complain the game is stale. 
 

It really is hilarious i played someone yesterday in my playoff spamming bunch x nasty talking so much trash to just get cooked by me in the passing game using the pistol playbook. They don’t even know what to do when they play something different it honestly is hilarious. 

I think it’s way more rewarding beating these scrubs with way off meta plays and schemes you might have to try a little harder then just run 2 broken plays that dumbs out the AI but isn’t that the point of playing games to have a challenge
