If someone wants to kick extra point after a TD you can try encroaching to try and convince them into trying for 2 points instead. I do this sometimes even tho I go for 2 every time.

I got a few wins this way. It’s baiting someone into going for 2 when they wouldn’t otherwise, and most people go for 2 so you should be used to trying to stop that.

Block their 2 and then you get an easy win with kicking the extra point. If they insist on kicking extra point you should be going for 2 anyway.

Around half of the time if I encroach on extra point they change to 2 point, idk why, just something I have noticed.

Thanks for the tips, it comes down to the 2pt conv. For sure. But starting on D and stopping them is so glorious. 🙂

Anyone have any tips on completing this new event? It's the best one so far, quick games. I love it. I have around 70 wins. I just can't get them in a row to win this. I'm always getting 4 and then losing 2.

Buy Cushing with Momentum Shift to stop K9 1 play TDs. Put possession catcher X-factor on Vernon Davis for the 2 pt. I also put short inside elite on Rice for quick slants on 2 pts. Honestly on the 2 pts pick a play where you are looking at like 2 routes and if you like the look snap it, if not call a timeout and go to like X Nasty rpos or spacing. If you lose your first game in tier 1 just quit the next and start over. As long as you don’t make mistakes you’ll have a good chance vs anyone

This event should be called "RPO showcase"

Thats all i see, either RPO bubble screens...

or a QB holding the ball until a last second on an inside handoff RPO, making my CPU defenders commit to the run, then throwing to an open WR (Even though I have RPO settings to play the pass)

i play defense first then run 1 formation on the drive and then switch up the look on the 2ot so it’s harder to adjust and usually get it and win it’s a little risky tho

Sounds like you need to work on understanding who is your read key defender and who will actually cover the pass option in your defense based on the offensive formation.

This is a good start to understanding these concepts, it may not be the exact rpo you're having trouble with defending but the concepts are what are important so you can understand why your players aren't defending the pass option despite your settings.

Ea really needs to fix that if I set my rpo pass key to play pass. I should not get beat by the pass at all. They should have to beat me by handing it off.

Also they need to let you override the read key on the defender. I should be able to put my outside lb/ passer rusher on man coverage to cover rh bubble or flat by the te and to be a pick 6 would stop rpos right away.

Exactly...people throw outside bubble RPOs without even checking to see if their open becuase they know its glitched and DBs cant cover it

Haven’t read all the comments, but I’m sure it’s been stated, go for two pretty much no matter what, unless you stop the person prior and need the extra point to win

This.

It is entirely frustrating to know what my opponent is about to do, but because they have two legitimate reads on so many of the broken plays, and because I can only user-cover one route, I get blown up by anyone with zero knowledge of football otherwise, but has practiced one play to the point of perfection.

More frustrating than this is that when I try to manually cover the RPO passing target, Identifier has shown my Cheating opponent that I know what they're about to do, and so they audible to another cheat play that requires about fifteen defensive adjustments to adequately cover, and of course, I can't tell what the play is likely to be until the shift settles and I see the formation. At that point, the ball is snapped in about two seconds, and I'm pretty much hosed for the reasons cited above.

I'm sure that in most cases the "solutions" offered to problem plays are well-intentioned, but we're not trying to win games against players that know only one cheat play. We're trying to beat guys who know three or four and audible between them, which is more than enough to win a game despite having zero football IQ.

We just want to play football.

Starts-on Momentum Shift. One of the crummy abilities shamelessly delivered by NFL Combine. At least we don't have Starts-on Omaha yet.
