Starts-on Momentum Shift. One of the crummy abilities shamelessly delivered by NFL Combine. At least we don't have Starts-on Omaha yet.

😂 so let me get this right momentum shift is crummy in your eyes but it’s ok for Freight train to start/ be on all game which is just an auto break tackle with out having to do a single skill move 🤔

Do you hear yourself. Al xfactors need to go but FT is one of the worse it should require you to at least truck or stiff arm

Wait a minute. I didn’t say anything about the balance of any one particular X-Factor. Some  are not as game-breaking as others.

Starts-on Freight Train can be overpowered, but you can shut it down in its current forms by winning the play; if you look at your opponent’s offensive abilities, you can see how committed they are to the run, and know that your success likely involves allocating more resources to stopping the run.

Starts-on Momentum Shift is not analogous; it’s a classic Ace-of-Spades ability; nothing beats it. You need to circumvent it by playing around with substitutions and stuff. While Starts-on Freight Train is powerful, to an extent that’s the whole point of X-Factors. But when your opponent can put two X-Factors onto the field and then use a third to cancel out all of an opponent’s X-Factors, and do it without a single football play, that sort of unearned advantage is inherently too powerful.

It literally just makes the game have to be played with no xfactors that  is a good thing. If you feel your at a disadvantage because you don’t have an auto break tackle on all game that is a skill issue.

Let’s be real that is what everyone gets upset over is that it stops there freight trains.

If you can’t play offense in one of the most offensive favorable maddens in sometime with out it you need to hit practice mode.

It’s honestly probably the best xfactor EA put out to stop all the damn glowing superpowers on either side of the ball

No, I'm not upset that it stops my Freight Train. I'm upset that it can also stop a high-value X-Factor I earn. If I get Vanguard going after a couple completions, having my opponent shutting it down by subbing a player onto the field is stupid. Being able to do that twice because their Momentum Shift X-Factor is paired with Persistent, or because they called a timeout or committed Encroachment is even stupider.

Stop attributing meaning not explicitly stated in my responses. You're way off base with what my actual complaint is. Besides, if you want to talk "overpowered", is Freight Train really as bad as audibling to Spacing Switch? At least with Freight Train, I have a reduced chance of tackling successfully, but I have a chance. Spacing Switch just gets free yards via a ball carrier that can't be tackled because the AI coded my defenders to circle dance between the hash marks.

Your making your argument even worse 😂 now you need vanguard.

All I said was people keep complaining that it stops there xfactors and it’s horrible but it’s ok for them to have there xfactor start on and that’s perfectly fine. It’s comical.

All momentum shift does is take away xfactors and reverts it back to skill. If you were able to activate the  xfactor do you even really need it? If that’s your concern If you actually earned it and not the takes 1-2 rushes to get.

I never said fright train is unstoppable but there are definitely times you make a great play and a bad animation because of FT auto breaking the tackle in the backfield dumbs out the rest of the defenders and they wont tackle him while the animation plays out and then they run for 80 yards and a TD on a terrible play call that should of forced them to understand you need to audible to a pass vs that defense.

I personally think xfactors and abilities are bad for the game but moment shift  is honesty a decent way to balance it out and is probably the only good xfactor EA came up with.

Let’s be real once broken ass Omaha comes to the game you’ll be saying how great moment shift is.

Also spacing switch is not that hard to stop it just takes messing around with your flat depths and baiting them into throws. There are by far worse plays in the game more broken such as RPOs and HB direct snap

Switch Spacing works because of RPO’s and Direct Snap. They are complementary forms of Gross Cheese, and that’s why I consider their employment outright cheating. Not intending to get into a subjective debate about what form of cheating is worse than another.

Starts-on Omaha should never be a thing. Omaha is available throughout the year, and never makes much of a difference because if you can trigger it, you probably didn’t need it. But it is a powerful ability when you understand defenses.

As for Vanguard, what? I guess you hate run-first offense? I never run RB Direct Snap because it is cheating as it works in the game at present. So we have an understanding here: Earned X-Factors are appropriate. AP costs should be appropriately balanced, and then you don’t need Momentum Shift starting on.

How do you feel about the defense having two starts-on X-Factors remaining after Momentum Shift triggers?

This.

It is entirely frustrating to know what my opponent is about to do, but because they have two legitimate reads on so many of the broken plays, and because I can only user-cover one route, I get blown up by anyone with zero knowledge of football otherwise, but has practiced one play to the point of perfection.

More frustrating than this is that when I try to manually cover the RPO passing target, Identifier has shown my Cheating opponent that I know what they're about to do, and so they audible to another cheat play that requires about fifteen defensive adjustments to adequately cover, and of course, I can't tell what the play is likely to be until the shift settles and I see the formation. At that point, the ball is snapped in about two seconds, and I'm pretty much hosed for the reasons cited above.

I'm sure that in most cases the "solutions" offered to problem plays are well-intentioned, but we're not trying to win games against players that know only one cheat play. We're trying to beat guys who know three or four and audible between them, which is more than enough to win a game despite having zero football IQ.

We just want to play football.

Identifier wouldn't be needed if the CPU players actually knew what they were doing and followed commands

Ill undershade and set hooks for 5 yards...and they'll go backward 20 yards like their drunk

You sound like you need a crutch on offense and are upset there is away to get ride of it. You can do the same thing by a tackle for a loss it just takes xfactors out of the game. Momentum shift is also on offense as well so again your argument is further and further away from having any valid response.

badly coded plays are just as bad as terrible xfactors but you feel that vanguard and freight train and perfectly fine but an factor that turns them off isn’t 😂

I don’t use any abilities on defense because you really don’t need them I think they shouldn’t be in the game at all but to cry about something good for the game by having it just completely get rid of xfactors is funny.

You’re evidently a disingenuous alt, and we’re done debating this.
