I literally have a friend that works there in a different department. I’ve had multiple group chats with one of his friends in madden and this is the one thing he’s asked me more and more about. How it would work, the notion behind it, everything. Ironically, Kurt Benkirk, has suggested something similar to them. At the same time you are alerting the entire defense, not just 1 player, there is good reason you don’t see hot routing every play in football, not only would it eat up tons of clock and confuse your own players but you have completely removed the true guessing game of football, run or pass, inside or outside, it’s all part of the game. Football is chess and that part of the game is played in the huddle and the sidelines.

there’s a difference between the game improving player ovr or showing a route explicitly, and making hot route calls consistent. If you have to memorize hot route calls of your opponent to know what their hot route was, that would be a good addition. If the game is just showing you repeated hot routes that’s holding the opponents hand

Just curious  how do you have the time to play so much, I see you have well over 900 games in ranked and h2h combined? Planning to be a pro player?

Well the reality is they aren’t going to do sound as the alert or they would, it’s too difficult, it’s a great idea but never could play out. So the next best is by increasing the alertness of your defense. I get those that are worried it will limit your hot routing so you can’t clown some idiot, well too bad, you’ll have to learn how to clown them through realistic scheming, the hot routing is dull, boring, unrealistic, OP, spam, meta, garbage at this point. I don’t wanna play a game where it’s who can pre snap adjust faster instead of smarter, that’s has nothing to do with actual skill. If you’re worried you’ll won’t be able to hot route every receiver every play, idk why you even like football. I’d imagine watching a game is boring at to you cause you can’t see all the hot routes every play 😂

Notice my scores, most quit on me within 3 possessions tops. I rarely get to play a full game. Was just saying yesterday I played 2 hrs and won 2 legends super bowls, that’s 14 wins in 2 hrs. I think so far I might have like 200 hrs total played and most of that is leaving the game on while I work at my desk.

Irl, there’s 15+ guys focused on stopping a play.  In madden, you replace those guys. I don’t think your players should play with nfl knowledge, if you’re coaching with barely Highschool knowledge at best in most cases (the general you, not you specifically)

Wouldn't it be improving your knowledge by forcing that in gameplay instead of having you learn how to hot route? It's the same thing just more realistic. I'm not here to argue about this, if you like hot routing every play, that's cool too, I just know myself and large portion of the community are as sick of it as the stupid flip play that EA finally killed last patch. I'm saying this as someone who isn't getting killed by hot routing or I wouldn't be in the top 100, but at the same time i'm getting really bored just focusing on responding to 3 hot routes every single play, it's not fun at all. Also just so you know, if you keep running the exact same play, the AI actually does start to pick up on it, hot routing however they can't do that to or it'd be WAY worse than my suggestion. That alone should tell you EA does not want people to play the game in a repetitive manor. It makes all their content boring. Did you watch that MCS, i was blown away that every single player did the exact same shit every single play. So EA literally patched shit it saw being repeated in their own tournament, this hot routing has gotten outta hand and they are going to do somethign about it guaranteed, and they should, it's ruining the game.
