I don't have any actual data or specific information to back this up, but I've honestly come to believe that Pass Protector may somehow be a more robust version of pass blocking abilities, it may directly counter EVERY type and style of pass rush moves, but I'm not 100% certain how or where Secure Protector may come up slightly short.

Sadly, the newer abilities haven't been data mined, at least not that I can find, so we're somewhat forced to speculate, however here is/are the details of Secure Pro:

• Blocking_ChanceBlockDefMoveOutcome_DefSuperWin -- Grants the offensive player an improved chance to block defensive move super wins.
• Blocking_ChanceBlockNonEngDefMoveOutcome_DefSuperWin -- Grants the offensive player an improved chance to block non-engaged defensive move super wins.
• Blocking_ChanceBlockStandardOutcome_DefSuperWin -- Grants the offensive player an improved chance to block standard move super wins.
• Blocking_ChanceBlockUpgradeDefWinToSuper_DefensiveMove -- Grants the offensive player an improved chance to block a winning defensive move from upgrading to a super win.
• Blocking_SecurePassBlockerInitialTimer -- Modifies the initial timer for secure pass blocking.

Regardless, it's still important to stack All Day on top of our OL blocking abilities, to extend the blocking timers.

D has a lot mroe if you want to be more pass or run heavy 

D Line- Col/UF, Relent/RS, TS

LB- Av, Rein, EF, LA, TS, MZKO

DB- BN, UC, EF, EP, OMW, PA, TS

As previously mentioned. I've never tried reinforcements on DL im curious if it helps or not? But I've always put tackle supreme or secure tackler on all my DL. Regardless of ap amount. It helps with those OOP RBs. Post your lineup so we can see what your working with

Basically you'll want all of your linebackers and DBs to have either Reinforcement or Out My Way to ensure they have a chance against all the Vanguard cheese.  Unfortunately, there is no direct counter to Vanguard.  My 4-3 Even 6-1 keeps getting absolutely blown up on Stretch runs, so i'll often try to play some 3-4 Odd.  It may sound odd to call Cover 4 Drop for run defense, but it's fairly effective as both Safeties should have their first step DOWN, filling run fits, versus taking a step backwards, into pass coverage.  Your outside corners will be in pass coverage, but everyone else is ready to defend the run.

Adjustments i prefer to make against the run:

• spread your linebackers
• press coverage

That's about it.   You can control a weak side Safety and be ready to shoot the game and try to make a play.  Diving tackles are your friend (Square on PS5).  Your USER has to be involved in the play, even if you can't make the tackle, you just need to get involved to try and trip the ball carrier up.  It'll take a bit of practice, but eventually you'll learn how to shoot that gap and make a play.  Even then, i'm still getting burned way more than is reasonable, giving up 1 play touchdowns to either a HB Stretch run, or some double pass cheese.  Oof.  We're all struggling out there.

This is a pretty great list of abilities.  I actually just recently started paying 1AP for Reinforcement on big Chris Jones at DT and he's constantly in the backfield, blowing up the OL and getting into the backfield immediately after the ball has been handed off, resulting in TFL.  I'm not sure it's absolutely necessary, or if it's even worth the 1AP i'm spending, but i've run out of useful abilities to apply, so why not?

I'm still personally using Universal Coverage on my Safeties, although i've debated trying to adjust that to Reinforcement + Mid Zone KO, however i still find myself playing some Man to Man, especially against Double Pass cheese, so i enjoy having that versatility.

Are you still using Too Tall and Washington at safeties? I have been hearing a lot of good things about mack and clapp.

I hope i'm not overselling it, because it could absolutely be due to the Run Stuffer ability that he has baked on, but if you've got an extra 1AP that would otherwise be spent on a random Stonewall or whatever, might as well try Reinforcement, i guess.  Lemme know if you notice it, could all be in my head.  Just added it this week.

Aye, still using Too Tall (FS) and Darnell (SS), but not for lack of effort.  I've reviewed nearly every safety that has come out, but nothing seems all that impactful.  They simply don't build NBA sized players, or if they do (Will Clapp, for example), they move and turn too slowly.  Clapp is probably fine, but if i need to click on to him in run defense, it's far  from ideal.  Those big player models lumber around the field.  They're great if you just want to run in a straight line, but THE moment you have to turn on a dime, you might as well be stuck in quicksand.

I also glanced at Mack, he could be good... but i refuse to give up that extra height.  If i didn't have Spice Adams at CB4 (Slot2), i'd almost certainly be playing Darnell Washington as an outside corner and might consider Mack or Ruke at SS.
