I say this with all sincerity, but based on all your forum posts I think it's time to take a break from this game lmao. It's always you or jimshredder complaining about this game almost daily. I took a couple months off once PGA 2k25 came out and I've been so much happier lmao

If you are struggling w/ RPO flat specifically (the TE you are talking about), move the safety about as far as you can out towards the boundary CB. and run cover 2. They will run that play once, get picked off, and won't run it again.
For that setup you don't need to do anything else other than run cover 2 and move the safety. That is again, JUST for RPO flat. Other RPOs, I would suggest hard flatting the inside slot DB and moving the safety out. You can run whatever coverage you want behind it.
sweet thank you brother!

Pick 6 of an RPO normally leads to an early quit because they truly are a one trick pony. Same with the HB pass spammers. The minute you pick it off or sack the HB. They stop that shit.
tmac1023 said:YES! These RPO flat's are ridiculous. Super annoying. Man + Zones nothing works.
Put slot corner in hard/soft flat bring up safety a little bit just in case they run past

this is the funniest but truest thing i’ve heard this made me laugh, it’s sad man it should be everyone in place just throwing dots and stuff but i’m getting mossed or something by a RG or LT

And at the end of the day, all of us out here in Madden-land end up being the assholes, because we're delusional enough to want a fair, competitive, hopefully balanced and fun modern H2H fatball experience. Uff.
I just wanna play simulation football, which is obviously NOT the same thing as whatever this Madden stuff has become, uggh. Kill me.
maddens so sad dude i hate watching my teamate get his kick blocked. i’m really good at blocking kicks not off the edge but just running through the middle after a couple flags

Abilities are RNG based...the game decides if they activate or not
Thats my biggest issue with end game madden...its complete RNG

Good day
I really appreciate your input and how you articulate it on this site . It’s a shame how advanced technology has become yet this game just continues to be a disappointment every year when it comes to the way, the game play is designed and it seems to be a very lazy approach every year with very little explanation on what any of this stuff means in the game. I made a response on this site a day or so ago that we are all guessing and assuming what the stats and abilities do because we have never directly got official information from anyone over at EA what certain stats and thresholds do or what triggers certain things in the game with abilities or without
Here’s an example, you get more information on this site about they’re throwing archetype then in the actual game itself who would know what archetype the quarterback is unless you come to this site? I also can’t wrap my head around the fact that you need to put abilities on a card once it’s obtained its highest stat, which is a 99. Why do i need my Randy Moss card to have a better chance at catching when he has a 99 catch? It just doesn’t make sense.

I don't take offense at this. I do like to think I bring substance when I trash Madden. I'm not usually driven to writing in caps; I was pretty hot.
For context, I was playing Madden Football when it was John Madden Football. The 80's one. On the Commodore 64. I quit digital football for more than a decade because it felt like in the process of trying to replicate a genuine football experience, programs lost themselves in the RNG method of "Any Given Sunday". The one thing that killed my fun more than anything was random-but-frequent fumbles at the worst possible time in a way that seems to happen once or twice a season. Like, Roger Craig fumbling in the 1990 season Conference Playoff game against the Giants worst possible time. (So much for the threepeat.)
Anyway, I did take some time off between some of my previous rants. It sucks to come back from time away only to have the same improbable crap ruin an earned win in a situation where you need to string together consecutive wins.
Please don't compare my reaction to others' when determining validity: There are dudes here who never complain about kicker-looking-at-their-cell-phone-when-the-ball-was-snapped-blocked-kicks because they never attempt field goals to win games: They're cheesing their way into the endzone with RPO's and Vanguard x10 and other vile, hardly-a-bit-of-skill tactics, and so they just don't run into this issue the way users who play football the way that wins actual football games do.

I think yours and others view on “real football” is it pertains to Madden will always be your issue. The game is not, and will never be, “real football.” It’s a video game. You can’t expect it to play like the real sport, and you CERTAINLY can’t expect the player base to treat it like a real sport lmao. If you come into the game with that same mindset, you will always be disappointed and frustrated. Don’t like it, don’t play it. I’ve been a huge basketball/NBA fan my whole life. My teenage years I played the hell out of every NBA 2k game. Now the game plays like shit so I stopped buying them about 4 years back. Haven’t missed it since

I can't begin to break through your wall of cynicism.
I came to madden after giving him up on cut I've played 15 ish games and I will say there r a lot more cheese plays in MUT but at least EA isnt just handing out wins like they do in CUT and maybe I'm wrong and I'm just in EA good grace rn
