Ok English professor, you got me. You are only allowed to imply so much in a court of law(civil law anyway), before it can be rightly assumed. What EA did right here would be like them saying "hey I'll sell you my car for $5000", they are driving a brand new Ford Mustang so you say "sure I'll buy it". They hand you the keys to a beat up Dodge Neon, you say "woah I thought I was buying the Ford Mustang", then EA says "nah that's my friends car, you bought my Dodge Neon, pay up". Needless to say you would have a case should they try to make you buy the Neon, as they heavily implied you were buying the Mustang.
DaMadLaberWaLabsAt12 said:EA never said anything implicitly regarding the conversion rate, but they price locked Sugar Rush cards at the minimum rate of 25 coins per carrot on the auction block, with no realistic way to sell them other than quickselling and waiting for conversion. It would then make sense that the conversion rate would therefore be the minimum rate they themselves set on the auction block. This has nothing to do with MUTLeaks speculation.
You said you were "bait and switched". You weren't at all. And yes, you could sell cards. I sold all of mine early. Were the prices great? They weren't. But did I do better than 20/25 karrots per? I did. It's all speculation when you play the AH. Nothing gets price locked by EA. It's all based on supply and demand. I get the anger, but this one is not EA's fault.

They didn't imply anything. You inferred things. Genuinely asking, is this your first year playing? This happens every year during events like ZC and SR. This is nothing new.
You guys seriously think mutleaks is not part of EA? Of course he is. A dude giving out leaked info on their game for years and EA does nothing about it? Get outta here. You got played fellas.

MUTLeaks is definitely not EA.
DaMadLaberWaLabsAt12 said:EA just robbed us, they price locked the Sugar Rush cards at the 25 coin to carrot rate and then they screwed us on the conversion at 20 per, nasty work by EA and not even remotely acceptable. Any other company would be sued into the dirt for a bait and switch like this. I'm done putting up with EA's bullshit and you should be too. I'm hereby retiring from MUT/CUT after this year ends(Let's count the number of "see you next year" comments below).
I’m already onto Assassin Creed Shadows and with Ghost of Yōtei coming in October, won’t be seeing me next year…..

A billion dollar company is doing nothing about a dude consistently leaking info from the same account about their game?
Imagine somebody leaking info about the newest Sony products before they do it themselves. They would sue the hell outta them.
It's for people to think they have a leg up on EA. He wrote "suspected ratio 25 : 1". Either you get the info from code or somewhere or you don't. How do you suspect a ratio? He just phrased it that way to not get blamed afterwards. But he shall not worry. People will always blame EA (most of the time rightfully so) even if he messed up.

He suspected it because it made the most sense.

How much did you put into this to care so much?
NoPay2Win said:They actually did not...I hate to defend EA but they never guaranteed 25 coins oer karrot...most of you here decided to accept speculation as fact and thats on you...also many of us did the math on the lowest allowed price for cards minus the 10% fee and got an amount closer to the 20:1 rate versus the 25:1 rate and tried to warn others...but everyone decided they knew better and believed in MUTleaks...that's not on EA...
But regardless for those of us that already had very few coins to begin with this was still a win...
Also there is literally nothing EA did that you could sue for...there was no bait and switch or promise/guarantee made...and even if there was I am sure there is language within the terms and conditions that would offset any legal challenge...
I mean the math was there at 25 per with the lowest you could sell the cards for, but what I think happened is everyone quick sold the cards instead. Leaving Ea to realize o shit now everyone will be even more stacked on coins and not spend money. Leaving the to be scum bags a change it. I do believe it was meant to be 25 as other promos where and the math on the quick sale and lowest price was set to 25
Moderator Legend said:Where did EA bait and switch you? Where did they say they were doing 25:1? I don't want to defend them, but they never said that. Mutleaks said it and everyone bought into the idea...
The lowest price you could list a card said that when you did the math it came out to a perfect 25-1. Other promos such as zero chill also had a 25-1 but Ea realized to many quick sold and would stop people from needing to spend money and changed it.
DaMadLaberWaLabsAt12 said:A lot of idiots commenting here without reading comprehension skills,"they price locked the Sugar Rush cards at the 25 coin to carrot rate". Never once did I mention MUTLeaks or his speculation on the conversion rate. The fact is that Sugar Rush cards were locked on the auction block at 25 coins per carrot and you could not sell them realistically. It would therefore make sense that carrot conversion rate would be the minimum rate they set themselves on the auction block. People here defending EA's actions are either fools or assholes, which I guess is par for the course with this community.
100% agree they did it on purpose they price locked the cards they couldn’t sell and once they realized everyone quick sold they didn’t want people to not need to spend money any more and changed it

Lmao EA 100% price locks what are you saying. You couldn’t put the price any lower than 436K which equaled out to 25-1 and was done by EA 😂 to say they don’t price locked is wild

That's not a bait and switch. Lol. That's you being presumptuous and assuming it would be the same. Look, I'm defending EA. But they did nothing wrong in this case. You can be salty. You can say you don't like it. But you can't say they cheated you and should be sued.
