I already said before at wr and db u need good cards with speed. I have Nabers for example. But you don't need top speed unless u wanna play man all game and vs a good player ur still cooked. When I see somebody come out in man and they stay with it. No matter how top end their cards. It's an easy dub.
Buf if u play zone u don't need the absolute fastes cards. They rarely sprint all over the place if u know what u doin. Even on a straight streak u won't get beat if u shade over top and your db is like 3 spd lower. Shade underneath u can get beat even if ur db is faster. It's just how this game works.
I'm just telling you from experience. I never have the best cards til late in the year and if I have them then I don't win that much more. People forget this is a horribly coded game. Stats don't work like they should. And especially this time of the year. If cards have stats in the 90s it make almost no difference at most positions.
And of course we're not talkin here bout the MCS. Yeah if everybody has all the best cards of course u have a disadvantage. But even if u watch them play u see KOs not workin.
Well, I have a touch over a million coins. I think Id be happier with 10 million. Just saying

In MUT, coins are better than anything. Anybody saying they have too many coins in a fucking game based on cards that cost coins is either a child or has no clue what they are talking about or both. You guys are out of your minds.

What I typically do is have an "operating budget" of about 1M coins earned through playing, auctions, etc. then hold any item that quicksells for coins. Keeping the quicksell items in my binder makes me less likely to over spend.
At this moment I have 824K in coins (mostly from the snow conversion) amd about 4.9M in quicksells in my binder.
I run a Patriots theme team and as such I only add players that fit my team - and not even all of them - for example I don't have Fred Taylor, Mike Gesicki or any of the OOP cards. Nor do I have the "32 team chem" cards including team captains. The only deviation is I have a lineup for promos that require program cards for certain objectives.
I also keep two Patriots lineups - one that I just current rostered players and another that is my "primary" which is a mix of current and past players.
Jeez. Thats really cool and all, but do you go outside? Like for real is all you do is play madden? We all love madden here, but unless you’re playing the game comp or as a YouTuber (as your job) Seems really pointless to be so worried and precise about a game that resets in a couple months. it’s really not that serious. just me tho

I do like having to earn my players and coins which is why for many years I was nms (not anymore) my main problem is once I start spending real money I usually don’t stop when I should

Well if you're really that interested in my life, I will share with you.
I play very casually and offline. Maybe 2-3 games a day to complete my daily objectives and I move on.
I have plenty of other hobbies and interests. I just have a preferred way to manage my team.

I think this is an incorrect analogy. it’s more like having a steady job and spending all your income on living, pulling shitty playoff packs and trying out cards a few games to where you scrounging for food until your next payday/pull or sitting back and saving so you can get want you want when you want it. and I’ve pulled all the playoff packs, sitting on 8000 coins right now but who cares? my team is still solid.

This conversation feels like the conversation with the guy who said you could be NMS without spending many hours on the Auction House, and then tried to argue that it was insignificant that he had spent points on a variety of occasions.
Either you need top-end players, or you don't. If you need top-end players at any position, you need top-end players. I wasn't really arguing any point other than that you ultimately have to earn a lot of coins to keep up, because you'll spend a lot on today's top-end receivers and cornerbacks, and guess what? Next week, you'll be doing it all over again.
You don't get to disregard MCS players, because they are playing games on the same servers I am. There are evidently thousands of players chasing that dream, spending hundreds of dollars a year because they think they are almost there, and just need to be on par. So I don't really have a chance to compete in Gauntlet or Ranked. At least, not without a lot of coins.
In fact, the one area where I would argue that you could win games on a strict budget would be House Rules. You'll come across a lot of players with stacked teams, but you'll also see a lot of people with ordinary teams, for the simple reason that there's often little reason to continue playing House Rules when you've already received the highest tier of reward. The owners with the best lineups get their wins early and move on. So, yay, I get to play about a quarter of head-to-head modes and feel competitive without spending a dime.
