i’m actually enjoying the new meta. you have to spend your spend AP wisely instead of slapping 2 free abilities on every single player.

I agree it’s fun I’m having success with milk man and minister of defense 6ap unstoppable forces 1ap inside stuff Jordan Davis and I gave all 3 of my linebackers that see the field 2 users and mlb lurk artist just had 3 pick six’s last game the pressure gets there and they make bad decisions

😂😂 2 unstoppable forces is menacing. i’m running inside zone and praying for the best until they stop glowing

I personally wouldn't want to play that mode, but it seems like a lot of people get annoyed at discounted or zero abilities and they should have a place to prove their skills without red herrings to blame 🤷♀️
I take that mode. No recorded wins or loses so no need to cheese. No abilities, no rewards. Add more penalties and injuries, after all, it’s a simulation. We’ll never see it. EAs mind is squarely planted in people’s wallets. That mode gets them nothing.
Of course, instead of that mode, we get a made over version of the yard…again.

Maybe a better term for what I was trying to describe is classic.
The "Challenge" that took me the most time to complete was the Epic Challenge "It's Time" the one where you Kickoff in the 4th Qtr / 6:00 / Down by 10 / Must win by 8 and can only get tacked 7 times.
You can only call the same play twice and you can't change receiver routes at the line.
The challenge was intense.

This is great in theory. The problem is “abilities” are essentially competitive aids. Competitive aids are more valuable where competition (and rewards) are the highest. If you move the competition to a zero ability game mode, ability based cards (99.5% of the catalog) lose their value, and EA no longer makes obscene amounts of money by manipulating their main customer base. I know what you’re thinking, win-win right? The problem is that EA would never let that happen.
