Honestly what is up with this community?

There are some cool people for sure, but why does it seem a majority of players are okay with cheating?  Let's just call it what it is, cheating.

You will never convince me that rushing 4 and glitching someone through the a-gap every play isn't cheating.  This is the only gaming community I've seen that glitching/exploiting is not frowned upon.

I'm a former pro player, but watching the MCS and hearing them yell "screamer" every time someone glitched through the line was a joke.

A few years back, EA implemented "nano-detection" into the game, and then subsequently seemed to fix interior o-line play so we didn't see "nano blitzes" for a few years.  I thought it was a step in the right direction.

I took a break from Madden for a couple years, and I come back to see this stuff happening again when I thought the issue was already addressed years ago.

Can someone please explain to me why this stuff is allowed in online play?  Isnt glitching/exploiting against the TOS?

And why does EA seem to be cool with it while at the same time apparently attempting to patch it.  If it's a glitch they are aware of, and attempting to patch...shouldn't it be banned from online play?

P.S.  Please don't tell me to block the RB/TE against a 4 man pressure.  Against a good player doing that you are already cooked.

ea does it cause it makes it seem like defense is actually good. only counter i found is id'ing the solo cb on the one wr side as the mike, and blocking a running back, youll get like 4-5 seconds to throw.

I think the worst part is that it’s also killed a lot of under center gameplans and it even does well against the run because run blocking is so ass right now. It’s so brain dead and even if you can dot it up with the right adjustments, it’s still annoying that it skews the whole meta.

No defensive formation should be this good and it really wouldn’t be good if this game was coded properly, period.

Yeah but they are aware of the glitch, and are actively trying to patch it...so why is it allowed in online play in the meantime?

Why don't they ban people for this just like they banned people for doing the pile up freeze the game glitch a few years back?  Or like they ban for coin distribution?   It's honestly ruining the game.

It's really not about a defensive formation being "good".  It's about most of the community running a known exploit/glitch which accounts to cheating in my book.

There is a difference between something being good, and it being a feature that is broken in the game/a glitch.

no clue honestly, only thing i can think is ea is trying to make it seem like skill until they can figure out how to patch it, trying to save face. i honestly dont have an answer for your question just assumptions

You've obviously played the game enough to understand nothing about this buggy ass mess is in any way conducive of fair and balanced gameplay, let alone fun or competitive. There's far too much randomness. The real skill gap is understanding what combination of routes will dumb out most defenses, or which pre-snap adjustments evade the horrendous blocking mechanics.

EA hasn't fixed the majority of these things because they don't have a clue how to even begin addressing them. There's so many bugs and glitches which have persisted for YEARS. The Frostbite game engine is for/from liek PS3 generation of games. They don't have to improve anything because they're literally the only game in town.

The community is toxic as hell, but you saw it yourself... it's pervasive throughout all levels of gameplay, including MCS finals every year. As long as there's engagement (and pack sales) EA doesn't give a damn. I am a bit surprised that the league has tolerated such poor association with their product, but it's still making money, so I guess lots can be overlooked.

Don't hate the player(s), hate the game.  🎮🏈😡

Yeah I thought we were heading in the right direction a few years back with nano-detection, and then improved o-line play.  I was also a big fan of the 91 zone threshold where defenders would actually play their assignments somewhat intelligently.

You're definitely right with EA being the only game in town having no incentive to improve their product.

I guess I just don't understand how they can allow issues which were solved in previous year's games to become a problem again...

Sigh, well, just played a few games as I generally do at night. This one late as hell but I digress. I thought I had answers to mid blitz until I couldn't do anything to one guy running it the entire game. It didn't matter what I did. I decided I'd try to run it myself to see what beats it. I got a couple people conceding ASAP, one guy did it himself but somehow better and had guys getting open ASAP against me doing it..ugh. I dunno man..it's either mid blitz or die to mid blitz. And it completely neutralizes runs even against 1 WR sets. It's ridiculous that all anyone has to do is call one defensive play and barely do anything else.

I want to play Madden not a 3 route combo simulator. It’s extremely boring and repetitive having to play every game the same way to have an honest chance of competing against a cheeser.

from my experience the only time they switch out of double mug is when they got no iq and can only send the cover o blitz. they’ll rage quit before they switch out that formation.

This is the sort of answer that reflects the latent capitulation among the Madden gamers that have a shred of soul left intact.

That three-route combo has to be executed precisely repeatedly for many plays, and if the user is any good, they’ll adjust, hold you to a pair of incompletions, and put you in a bad spot. If the user isn’t good, the better players have a good shot at a win.

I hate when the meta demands so much from a non-cheese user just to compete with a two-bit football IQ.
