There will be things in the future besides just MUT content, yes. Don't want to give any surprises away though. :)

so i didn’t know that you guys had this. 2 questions. how will it work, and if you get outbid do you get you points back?

We only take the points from the winner at the end. People bid on the cards, higher than the previous bid. Whoever has the highest bid when the auction ends wins.

you can acquire points through being active here in the forums. Or you can do the daily pack bonus which can give you up to 50 gg points. You can also risk your gg points in predictor in hopes of earning more.
