You can play veteran and pretty much rack up the points that will get you wins easy and progress you through some levels. Then when you have a better team you can knock out the legendary wins objective.

Their part of the all madden program, similar to The 50 or NFL100 from past maddens and they will drop each Saturday. It's part of the tribute to John Madden. I believe that there will be the actual Legends program most likely dropping on Sundays but I can't confirm.
