Believe it was Madden 2011 you could buy coins in game but it's been awhile so I could be mistaken.  They have to keep coming up with gimmicks to justify a new game year to year. I think we could eventually get to a point we pay a subscription fee to access new Madden content instead of buying a game every year but that possibility is a ways off.

I was around when MUT started and I understand what you're saying but it's progressively gotten worse. I've thought for years it's bullshit your coins don't transfer from the previous Madden to the new Madden. We the community could force as much change as we want if everyone just got together and made it happen. People just can't be bothered to focus their attention on anything for more than the length of a TikTok video so we get the screws put to us a little bit more each year. There has to be a line we collectively set to say enough is enough.

Gotta ask yourself if it's even worth the Dev time to come up with these promo's that most people can't take advantage of? EA wants to create that FOMO feeling so you in frustration go out and spend money on their store which wouldn't be a bad thing per se if they were required to offer you value but they're not. Any bundle someone spends $50 plus on should guarantee you some value instead of pure randomness. This is where people want the government to get involved in the regulation of these practices that fall under gambling. And EA is going to do their best to suck up every penny until regulation is forced on them.

Yeah, I've been Bunch X Nasty for more than a year now.  The ZAN/Bobby V stuff is helpful, but I like to use my own stuff as well -- the PA Cross play in particular; I have about 4 different set-ups for that play that attack different kinds of coverages.  I sent ZAN a note about the impact of the short side HB wheel route in that play, which really kills Cover 4 & match, forcing a user to follow it, which in turn opens up the skinny post.  Like I said, I'm a huge fan of using real world football concepts & seeing them work.  That's what's enjoyable about the game to me.  And it's also why this man coverage meta bothers me so much -- the fact that a press animation can carry 10 yards down the field just stinks.  That's not real football.  In fact, it's a penalty.

I guess we'll just have to deal with this until we can get multiple Route Technician WRs on the field...

Promo's become worthless when only the 3%-5% can afford them. And then the haves & have nots are pushed into the same PVP mode where the have nots are beaten down with those very same cards they can't buy themselves. I think people have become conditioned over time to believe that this is something we as a community should just accept but change can happen if enough people decide they want it.
