<p>Update: Decided to try contacting EA again. The advisor was easily the most helpful one I've chatted with so far, so I'm hopeful that the issue is finally going to be resolved.</p>

<p>Yep, I should've gotten it. Unfortunately the EA help team is apparently powerless to do anything about it and the "Studio" they named was investigating the issue, with no result. Worst customer service ever, but at least the advisors were polite.</p>
