I think there’s things I liked about power ups and things I hated about them. I don’t know that I really want them back but I do want the ability to change card art.
WendyPefferkorn said:One of the cool things of the Power Ups was being able to choose the card art and there'd be a special Power Up card art if you had the highest version of the card. I know there are a bunch of people that didn't like them, but I enjoyed the power up program.

This is a very good plan, IF someone is planning on doing all of the sets.

If they aren’t going to do the sets and plan to sell for coins I would redeem the set right away and sell the most expensive card.
phatalerror said:In the context of a release with multiple parts and a collection redemption set, I would choose the player that would cost me the most, which isn't necessarily the same as the player that could generate the most profit on sale when pricing is similar and supply is higher. In a case where I can choose from a subset of auctionable players, I review the items available, but don't select one immediately. I can purchase from the Auction House or build sets knowing my options, and if I bag an unexpected snipe, I can choose from the pack accordingly.
Apart from this, waiting into later parts of a program to redeem currency or sets for a random item or a randomly-determined subset of auctionable players does expose you to choosing from earlier releases with a higher supply and often weaker demand, and I've been burned several times by waiting.

Re: Situational Awareness

You nailed it! I think the stupid hop on RAC catches might be the most frustrating animation I’ve ever seen in this game.

I’m not even referring to the forward progress registry, I’m talking about the HB actually running in the wrong direction afte…
phatalerror said:It’s a bummer when 90% of the time an on-target ball can be reliably conservative-caught, but when it’s needed most you get a bad animation. Same with bad body position on aggressive catches and that unrealistic and unforgivably stupid hop on would-be RAC catches.
The improper registry of forward progress has been a thing since when I started playing on PS2.
I don’t understand how a simple programmatic logic issue can exist for more than 18 years. I’m sure it was an issue before I played Madden 09.

Re: Situational Awareness

The catch animations have been particularly bad/unpredictable this year. Lost a game in the event this morning when my user input to possession catch didn’t work so the receiver got KO’d instead of doing the slide/possession catch for a completion. …
phatalerror said:I can't stand how often I try to make a conservative catch at the sticks, and my receiver falls backward behind the line to gain. I outplay my opponent tactically, and my reward is a loss to RNG.

Re: TOTY MVVP?

If they’re auctionable again this year it should be a decent investment. I remember flipping a bunch of the LTD kicker last year, people were selling at 400-500k and he went back up around 1mil or more.
Khoale37 said:Makes sense given that we can’t complete til after release 2. 🤦🏻♂️
