You just have to select a player (Press O on PS to change players) on the d-line and green bars will pop up. Those bars are the pass rush points for that player. Even if you user a SubLb and move them close to the LOS it will show the pass rush bar…
BillGardiner20 said:Great job, and thx for this! Dumb question--how do you tell how many pass rush points you have? You used to be able to check your opponents OVR and stuff but they took it out this year.

Yeah I actually think it looks like Mike Alstott.
footballfan5654 said:Looks like a running back or fullback on the left.
Re: Defensive Rally/PR Points Testing

It all just depends on where you put your AP. I play zone and only use 2AP on my secondary/SubLb’s. That leaves 10AP for the D-line.

I can get 4 D-Rally for 4AP (2X0AP DT’s & 2X2AP edge rushers) and split the other 6AP on ET/ETE and DON. So realistically the most you could use is 2 of them ....I dunno...I didn't notice a huge difference on 3rd and 4th and I still had my pass rushers not always have full points on 3rd or 4th
Re: Defensive Rally/PR Points Testing

All good man, I’m going to test some more to find out for sure.
sensicough said:Yeah you may very well be right. I hadn’t thought of that
Re: Defensive Rally/PR Points Testing

It affects AI and user controlled defenders.
Gent said:Really appreciate all the info in this post.
Does the extra pass rush point help AI controlled defenders or is this only beneficial to user controlled linemen?
Re: Defensive Rally/PR Points Testing

You can put Defensive Rally on your edge rushers as well but it’s 2AP each unless they get it discounted. You can also put it on Field General MLB’s but nobody is spending the 4AP on that and most aren’t using MLB’s anyway.

I think the description…
Martyr1968 said:I run 3 D Rally's sometimes but the problem is they have to be on the field for the ability to work. So the most you could have is 2 if you want your edge rushers to benefit. I run Simmons and Seymour both w 0 AP D rally and honestly I do not see my edge rushers affected by D rally often. I run nickel over mostly so in theory I should have 2 extra pass rush points on Bruce Smith, D Ware, Simmons, and Seymour on 3rd and 4th down. I have not seen that so far so I will try to continue checking
Re: Defensive Rally/PR Points Testing

Thanks man, I will be sure to share my results after giving it some testing.
mbacon14 said:Great write up! I'll be interested to read the results when you test ETE/ET and compare it to pressure rates/pass rush win % from DON.
Re: Defensive Rally/PR Points Testing

Yeah I actually have 4 D-Rally equipped right now and it will give you full pass rush points on every 3rd/4th down. DON only uses two bars so it should light up but you’re not necessarily going to get major pressure every 3rd/4th down because of O-l…
Davis36 said:This is the kind of thing that madden needs more of, I sincerely appreciate this post. There is so many posts that contain bad information / opinions throughout the different websites / forums.
Some “theorycrafting” here... In theory if I had 4 Defensive Rallies, that would guarantee DON lighting up on 3rd and 4th down as every point would be guaranteed to be restored? If you could guarantee massive pressure from 2/3 dons on 3rd and 4th down that may change the ball game here…
Re: Defensive Rally/PR Points Testing

Now I’m curious about this because the only yellow bar I’ve seen on Bruce Smith with his 0AP Extra Credit. Do you think that might be what you’re seeing as well?
sensicough said:I often see a yellow bonus bar added to the full green so I’m pretty sure it does add one when the rusher already has full points
Re: Defensive Rally/PR Points Testing

If your pass rush points are full it does nothing.
Martyr1968 said:What if your pass rush point are already maxed? I have not seen it add an extra one, so sometimes I feel like D rally is kinda useless (especially if you are maxed already) and sometimes it is helpful
Re: Defensive Rally/PR Points Testing

Yeah I’m trying to figure out my best D-line setup now. I run zone and with all of the 0AP Pick Artist I’m only using 2AP for two Deep Out Zone KO’s on my safeties. That gives me 10AP for the D-Line. I think right now I have 4 D Rally, 4 DON, 1 IS, …
kaotikords said:Seems like as many free D Rally as you can get is going to be meta ASAP. Re: Defensive Rally/PR Points Testing

So shifting doesn’t change anything. It’s all based on the play call/formation. If they are at a position that is a Square on the Play Art they will get the pass rush point.

Nickel 3-3 means 3 are DE/DT and 3 are LB’s (by formation). Do they get the pass rush point based on where they where when play was first called or after they shift?
Re: Defensive Rally/PR Points Testing

For sure man! I‘m going to be switching playbooks as well now. I was running Ravens and with all of the odd formations I was never maximizing Defensive Rally like I thought I was. 🤦♂️
SebSeb88 said:Really appreciate the research my man, great job! Interesting to learn that the circles don’t work. I’ll have to switch Defensive playbooks to fully maximize my 0 AP DR. Thanks a ton
