Re: Competitve Pass Level 30 Update - EA Says They Are Unaware of the Issue

Oh I've had experience..... it's incredible how the only thing EA "Help" doesn't do is help...
Martyr1968 said:Well....if you've ever had an experience with EA's support...every "representative" says something different. It's amazing. I mean, on more than 1 occasion, I have had multiple EA support staff tell me completely different things. And even if you tell them to go look on twitter (X, or whatever), or EA's website - that the info is clearly there and contradicts what the person is telling you, they just insist that they are correct.
They really do have the worst customer support of any big company I have ever dealt with

For example, run defense is typically easier in a 4-3 or 3-4 alignment.
Nickel is a great all-around formation, allowing more DBs to protect against the pass, while also keeping 2 LBs in the middle of the field behind a 4-down lineman front. In Madden, however, LBs do not animate to leap for interceptions, so players will often use the SUBLB position in the depth chart to add Safeties here instead (since they do not need an extra ability to leap for interceptions).
Dime, Dollar and Quarter formations are pass defenses.
Within each of these formations are various blitzes that are mostly used to pressure the QB on pass plays, but can also be implemented for filling specific gaps in run defense, too, if you find your opponent is constantly running through the same holes.
Also, some of these formations have variations within themselves- like Nickel 3-3, 3-3 Cub, Over, Over G, etc. And those are just nickel variants. Most formations will have different selectable alignments that may add players of a specific position group to the field, like the Nickel sub packages adding more safeties instead of LBs, etc. It sounds like a lot, but you don't have to know everything. Find something that feels right and build on it.
Keep asking questions, though. For the most part people here are helpful. And good luck!
