Was there a program that had a "machine" that would upgrade your player? I thought I had upgrade cards but no "machine" to make the upgrade?

Do all of these programs work about the same, or is there something different about any of them? Are there any program cards that you want keep for future upgrades like last year's New AKA or this year's AKA JJettas & Sauce?
