I promised my wife i wouldn't dump a bunch of cash into my squad and feels kind of silly to spend big, or at all, week1 (if ever) -- but seems a ton of folks just love to rip packs and are willing to pay for that privilege. Anyhoo, that gambling / P2W stuff is besides the point, do most folks try to stack coins out of the gate? Assuming we're NMS -- or limited to ~4600(ish) Madden bucks from Deluxe pre-order bonuses?
I believe i've done everything i am able to prepare; maxed S5, completed all 33 sets... figured i'd at least use Aidan for the first few days (15-18th) and then if he's not as great as i'm expecting, perhaps dump him on the AH by day 3. What do you guys with vast array of MUT experience recommend as far as starting tips for a fairly new (started in Dec) MUT player? Have i missed anything else, or what should i expect on August 15th?
Will servers even be stable, heh? I guess i'm trying to understand what to expect from the OVR ratings as they continue to be released. I assumed i'd have basically an entire squad of RPs to start the year off. I recognize these probably won't be the best of the best, but competitive (for online H2H play)? I sure hope so.

that 87 will only be 200k tops. it's still coins though. alot of people won't care about a LE , now if it were a DB than now we're talking big coins.
I have always built a Raiders TT every time. Next season will be different considering I have these RP'S. I'm not going the same route. it gets so expensive.
That Ronnie Lott CB bullshit pissed me off as well. it's all because his natural position is FS . if he were SS it would of worked.
peatrick said:I love how you customize your formations on a per play / scheme basis. I wish i were that competent or advanced. I have failed to consider how much time invested many folks have in the game, i'm slowly starting to better understand why there appear to be quite a number of folks who prefer to run the PS4 version of the game, even from a PS5 console. I didn't have the benefit of hundreds if not a ~thousand hours of Madden on prior generations.
I've sort of approached it from the opposite, lazy-man angle, where i am so averse to being forced to mess with various settings and formations that i typically try to get my roster set from the main player/card selection screens, then hopefully only have to make minor adjustments from there. For example, a specific that jumps in my head, was trying to run the Ronnie Lott UL as a Slot2 cornerback, for that sweet, sweet 0AP Inside Shade. It simply was not possible from the regular menus, had to be in-game to make that roster move, despite Ronnie clearly having CB secondary position. He wasn't even available to run as a Slot corner, for whatever reason.
Getting Honorary Lineman on my WRs has been quite the unexpected benefit. Well, at least with Boldin, i'm happy to invest the 1AP for SIE, SOE & HL. Now that we're in the end-game, most of the high end receivers typically have 99 IBL, which seems to make all the difference in the world, especially if they have a huge strength advantage over DBs. Pancake city.

I'm so tired of making these adjustments every damn game. But I bet a lot of players don't even make subs or set custom audibles.

on the note I have a 13 year old. i would love to play mut locally with him and not have to buy another system. play now mode is only fun for so long.
peatrick said:YES, PLEASE. Goodness gracious, i'm jsut repeating myself at this point -- i thought we were here for an NFL style fatball simulation experience. Oof. It's been more MMORPG. Make the grinds reasonable and worthwhile. People investing time (and not straight cash) should be rewarded. I didn't hate the grind for Lester Hayes, but the actual gameplay experience is horrendous. Such a buggy filled mess. I can't even sit down to play a single game with my kid, who is 10 years old, because i have to constantly explain to him, i'm sorry, son it's not your fault... the game is filled with glitches. And so we go play NBA2K or FIFA, even.
