One of the key things also is to know what to do if you diagnose man or zone. I don't usually care if people know I am in man for example, because my DBs are still lockdown. It can be very discouraging without being able to read coverages presnap. You can tell easy if its 2 high or 3 high, but is it man? Is it zone? One thing to key on is to read where a slot corner is or if the adjust them. If you see a corner slide from the outside shoulder to inside, more than likely it's man. I tend to run a generic short pass or run out of a 3 wide formation just to see how the opponent adjusts or plays. Dont go for a big hitter right off the bat unless you know for sure you got it. If you do, then don't force it

Re: What are the odds for toty current 96's getting them from the COIN Packs?

LOL gotcha bud. Yeah, I have actually played it from the first year. I have seen all different iterations of the game and evolution of the game.....WAY before any chems or abilities....it was a whole different strategy back then. If you think Parham…
efbr22 said:Ohhh, my bad completely read that wrong, thought u said "haven't played madden since 1988..." Thats my fault lol.
Re: Mark Brunell vs. Steve Young

Good to see you on this site JC. Always value your input brother.

I run gun split also actually. Mostly with Ekeler because of his receiving skills. But I run it from the Niners O because I like the Deebo package also. I am actually going with Dann…
jcsteel66 said:The OP raises a good question. The answer depends on your scheme. I'm using Brunell with Set Feet Lead, Hot Route Master & Fearless for 5 AP. I run the Jets playbook and a Gun Split scheme that relies on the run, complemented by quick & intermediate passes. That works GREAT with Brunell's Slinger 1 release. Now, Brunell is NOT great on the super deep throws, as Slinger 1 struggles with passes >40 yards downfield.
So if your scheme doesn't rely on a ton of bombs, I'd go with Brunell. If you want to be able to throw bombs with a good release, stick with Young.
Re: What are the odds for toty current 96's getting them from the COIN Packs?

I must be missing something from what you wrote? I still play Madden every year , even in my 50's. I love sports and love sports games.
efbr22 said:Have 1.8k post and you don't play madden lmbooo... but don't feel old.
Re: What are the odds for toty current 96's getting them from the COIN Packs?

There were packs that held TOTY in the past, yes. Madden 20 wasn't that long ago jeez, making me feel really old. I have been playing Madden since 1988.....I was in college at the time
efbr22 said:I've been playing for a while and I remember the was a bnd roll in the training store in madden 20.
Re: How quickly will Quadfather get nerfed?

Absolutely. This card is like any other card with that X factor activated. Still a great card but it is not one of the best madden cards ever. That ED card is THE best Madden card of all time.....from inception of Madden Football in 1988 (and yes, I…
Gent said:This was my experience with Quadfather and playing against him as well.
Before I used him and played against him, I just assumed (like everyone else) this was Madden 20 Eric Dickerson all over again. But that was definitely not it. Dillon is a great card and is definitely no slouch, but he's not nearly as dominate as that ED card was. ED in Madden 20 would break damn near every tackle attempt, not just the first one. You also have the fact that Madden 20's meta was running the ball (still remember that guy winning the Madden Bowl while only running the ball and having a punter at QB) so a game that already favored the run game getting a card that is absolutely dominate in the run game was a recipe for disaster.
With Dillon, he will get through the first tackle unless he gets hit by a Secure Tackler/Enforcer or whatever (same with ED in Madden 20) but he doesn't seem to keep going like DIckerson did. Taking him down for a loss to end the Xfactor is difficult for sure, but as you said, he's very unlikely to break 80 yard TD runs like Dickerson would on a regular basis.
Re: How quickly will Quadfather get nerfed?

How did you play against him in WL? It was just released
coltsfan1218 said:I played against him. In weekend league. Didn’t think he was better then any other rb. Weird. Maybe cuz I only played one game against it, but didn’t seem like he was a glitch
Re: How quickly will Quadfather get nerfed?

Bro, I really don't think he's nearly as dominant as that ED card, not even close IMO. But he does break the first tackle. I've been running with him and using Jensen at C ....and I still have 40/40 legends.

With Dickerson, every run was a potent…
mubby33 said:I was sceptical also, I have 40/40 legends and Quadfather is still great. Think of DIckerson from a couple MUT's ago but better. It is almost impossible to get Quadfather knocked out of the zone unless you run commit several plays in a row, which then opens up an easy passing touchdown over the top.

Woah....that week 18 game was HUGE for the Eagles. They talked all week about how important it was to get the 1 seed . And they won by 6 against the Giants "C" squad. As far as not showing the Giants their entire playbook? I guarantee you the Eagles…
Geo7030 said:First of all Vikings defense is no where near Eagles caliber. I will admit though Jones completely balled out vs Vikings in the 2 games he played against them. He didnt have as many yards against the Colts but he still had 4 tds against a not very good either Colts defense. And we didnt play well agianst 2nd and 3rd string players? Why would u show a team you could potentially face in the playoffs your entire playbook the last week of the season. And we got smacked by the Cowboys??? We lost by 6 points with our backup qb. The Giants have in no way shape or form been a problem for the Eagles all year long. You could argue one of Jones' worst games all year came against the Eagles when they lost 48-22. That last game we played against them. They werent trying nor were we.
Re: Humphrey or Jensen?

0 AP identifier is pretty good though.
