There are people who sneak in, and if they win, we move to the next person on the list. We do ask in the rules that people make their entry their MUT.GG name. We even provide a link on how to do that in the rules as well. So yes.

i was just shocked to see 500+ entries haha, was thinking if “ESPNfan1902816” won and claimed the prize with their GG name, how can you tell that they didn’t have 30 other non-winning accounts?

It's limited to 1 entry per account. I mean if you have the time to make and phone verify 30 ESPN accounts, I'm not sure I can stop you. But they would all have to have mut.gg accounts, and we do alt check those.

I would think "ESPNfan1902816" would not get recognized as the winner unless there is a mut.gg account with the username ESPNfan1902816

You are correct. Hence my comment about how we move down to the next winner if they didn't follow directions :)

Rules

4. We will contact the winners via DM on your MUT.GG forums account
5. Once the tournament starts, your bracket is locked, and you can no longer enter or change your bracket. The deadline to enter your bracket is 12:00 noon EST on Thursday, March 20, 2025
6. Sign ups and brackets are open now!!!
7. All winners' accounts will be checked for alts/multiple accounts.  Alt accounts or those members with multiple accounts will not win (a new winner will be picked) and risk being banned from the site
