Idk how I should upgrade my team and I play a dollar defense mainly running spinner and db fire 2 and the offense is saints

How many coins do you have? You'll get better recommendations if you can provide a budget.

Some generic recs I have are 0 ap secure protector oline, TE, CB, probably another safety or 2, and another dlineman/linebacker.

Totally agree with this. At the TE position grab tony g, who’s hovering at 500k. For CB, Revis and Boldin are great options

If you don't care about your TE blocking stats I'd look at Thaddeus Moss for 40k, Ryan Neal for 260k to be your user, and either Antonio Cromaetie 220k if you run man or Tariq Woolen 260k if you run zone.

Your team has got a lot of holes. The main postions I think you need to upgrade are TE, HB, and any edge rusher. I think some good options are HB: Kenneth Walker, Gus the bus. Gus is better but slightly more expensive. TE: Unicorn is a great budget beast. Athletic tall and great attributes, mark andrews is also great and gets 2 0 ap abilities. Edge: Lawrence Taylor is awesome but he’s expensive. Other cheaper options include groot, bosa, parsons, and karlaftis. Any AKA edge rushers or players with 0ap Edge threat elite are good choices.

I personally would try to get a theme team, especially for DBs. With Pat Pete and then JPJ and pola Mao your best options would probably be Vikings, cards or Steelers. I like the Steelers theme team because I use it but that’s up to you. They’re no longer necessary but the improved physical stats in key areas would help you individually a lot. If you don’t know how to go about building one, I’m sure there are YouTube tutorials and I think wizzle had a write up like a year ago if anyone wants to find the link for OP lol

WR: Jimmy Smith (200k) and throw Short In Elite on him
Pass Rusher: George Karlaftis (300k) with 1 AP Unstoppable Force
OL: Will Hernandez (90k) with 0 AP Post Up
