I have about 300 K to work with. I’m looking to get more competitive, but I struggle with getting stops on defense (man scheme), and I run a short passes/power run scheme on offense which makes it hard to catch up.

A. Love the Pats tt. 
B. I'd use Set Feet Lead on Bledsoe. Traditional 2 is a great deep release but it's so bad short you need a throwing ability.
C. For defensive, I'd look at getting some Inside Stuffs (though Secure Protector negates it), since u have 2 AP free I'd look at getting 2

So what I love doing on D is playing Cover 2 Man, but then putting the deep blues in zone dropped 20 Curl Flats. These curls will play both corner routes, and if you have Deep Out Zone KO on them, it will also play slants. You can then focus on usering the middle of the field. Since you have the middle of the field covered, I've been running short route KO instead of Mid Route KO. This will help to stop mesh concepts coming across the field. Just watch out for really deep posts down field. Hope this helps :-)

PS: I would try to find a TT with a lot of 0 AP pick artists and cheap short route KO like the falcons, raiders, and commanders
