You can win with a team like this, you can compete with players that have better or even the best cards. If you have a hard time with coins, spending them too fast, never having enough the best advice I can offer is to never buy the new cards. If you really really need an upgrade look for cards that are the same position as the new ones that are dropping. For example AKA dropped a QB, CB, DE, LB etc... which caused all the legends from the previous drop to fall in price. Limit your upgrades, stack your coins for the long run. Cards become irrelevant 2-3 weeks after being released. you have a full year to play with every card.
My actual best advice is never buy a pack from the store until a large group of the community has confirmed a glitch in the odds
