Correct me if im wrong please but am I correct with how these zones play?

Hooks are pretty much over the middle of the field and in between the numbers. Usually for linebackers or sub/Lbs and they are yellow.

Flats are outside the numbers? Hard flats are closer to the Los. Cloud flats play higher up than soft squats while the soft squats will play in between watching for the underneath stuff and overhead routes?

Curl flats move toward the flats in kind of like a curl motion? While seam flats do the same but guard a little closer to the numbers while curl flats guard a little closer and deeper towards the sideline?  Quarter flats I noticed can guard deep moving backwards at the numbers and guarding a good 20 yards back.  So seam and curl flats are best at guarding against the corner routes?

It is very complicated trying to understand all of these zone concepts and how they work and play but I love the strategy aspect of Madden. It does take alot of practice to get all of this down and know what zones can guard against what routes. Then you have inside 3rd,inside quarter, deep halfs, outside quarters but I never mess with those. I usually only make zone adjustments on my DL or LB's and dont really mess with my cbs or safeties.
