I personally think X-factors should be mostly immune to the effects of regular abilities. To me it is a little ridiculous to make activation requirements difficult, to make deactivation requirements extremely harsh and easy to trigger, only to have free abilities or 1-3AP abilities that completely shutdown an X-factor.
For instance, you could have double me or mossed and any player with deep zone knockout abilities can just knock the ball out one on one. You can have freight train, and any player with secure tackler can complete the tackle every time. You could have enforcer supreme and avalanche, and any player with tank has a good chance at just bouncing off.
There needs to be some balancing to abilities and X-factors, this really should have happened years ago. Some abilities are extremely hard to activate but could be deactivated in one play, and only to not work vs half the regular abilities in the game. Not much of an X-factor if you ask me.
