This is absolutely ridiculous. You have to spread yourself out so thin to protect to cover the edge against 140 SPD that you can't stop anything through the middle.
Absolute chumps are winning at this game doing nothing but holding down their stick.
They probably moving their stick all directions too
Speed boost is just a cut move. Blaming the players for it being unbalanced is just misplaced hate. I speed boost most of the time without even trying.
Im also a .500 player that doesn't abuse glitch plays. I run a varied offense and im horrible on defense. I just have high spd/acc/cod players on my team, its end game.
EA could or could not rebalance it in an update, but its still their thing to clean up.

EA wont fix it this year as they claim its a feature in the game instead of a bug. It will more than likely be gone next year.

There's unbalanced, and then there's broken. Running the same broken play over and over again is the definition of cheating.

Doesn't necessarily mean they won't tweak it.
I know its to translate breakaway speed and I love it. It makes using Bijan feel more sim, imo. I feel like its working as intended.
Its also really unbalanced being able pick up speed like that at will with no answer on defense. No sense in a 'bend but dont break' defense when any newer back can zip right through to the secondary with a flick of the stick.

Win by any means necessary is going to happen, no matter what the exploit is.
Im not going to pretend there's not people that fish for and abuse it, but its just an unbalanced cut.
I dont abuse exploits or glitchs, but I do cut to the inside or outside when im running the ball. Im not going to dive down every time I burst past a defense, im going to take it to the house.

if there’s a play my opponent cant beat - let’s use à Durham setup as an example (bunch str with à drag, crosser, flat and runningback streak) - why can’t I just call it over and over again?
We're talking about two completely different things, and that's why there's a disconnect between us.
My complaint is not that someone is running one play over and over again. In principle, you are right: If someone cannot stop a football play with an appropriate football response, they either need more football training, or perhaps football isn't for them.
There's unbalanced, and then there's broken. Running the same broken play over and over again is the definition of cheating.
As I clearly stated, "broken": Plays that operate well outside the boundaries of what is realistic. To stop certain plays in MUT, you need to align players to places completely disadvantageous and unrealistic in a real-life setting, and you need to then provide additional specific individual assignments to ensure those players aren't taken completely out of the play when the opposing user counters your telegraphed response to their abuse with an exploit for your attempt to cover the first exploit.
Please don't compare identifying a tactical weakness and exploiting it with identifying a programmatic weakness and exploiting it. These are not the same in any context ever, and only the most degenerate of gamers would refuse to acknowledge the difference by dismissing it as an unrealistic expectation for a football simulation title to simulate football. Well, then, let's all just play Hackball.

Right that was the example I gave because I’ve received complaints about it, despite it just being a sound route combo - you’re usually quite vague about the cheating, but glad to know bunch str and y off trio close aren’t included :)
