For example, Tyler Warren says I need 92 strength to use secure protector, but I have him boosted to 93 strength and it’s still locked.
What the heck is even the point?

1000% agree. Pretty sure it worked like that in other Maddens - things enabled when you boosted a player

Because EA continually removes features, because they lack the technical ability to understand their mess of a code base, so they're constantly stripped out stuff that existed for a very long time -- then a few years from now, they'll have a major press release about all the lovely "upgrades" they're doing.
The game is broken, EA gonna EA. Wish there were any rhyme or reason for this shit, but at the end of the day, to suggest EA is not a serious video game company is a bit of an understatement. WE'RE all the assholes for trying to play this "modern" simulation fatball. Oof.
It's not listed on the MUT abilities site. I guess it's one of those newer ones? Almost certainly a combination of prior existing abilities, but we'll never know -- because EA can't communicate diddly squat about how their game works (or doesn't). I'm not convinced even they know.

They go by stock strength

So what happens if you switch theme teams or boosts, your abilities would be lost as well. Some people have multiple rosters built up

Threshold are based on stock attributes . Boosting attributes will not unlock abilities.

But then why even have them on the card lol
Like you see how confusing that is to the normal gamer right lol

I do. All I can do is state the facts of what we're working with in the game we play lol

Then it’s invalid or you lose the ability, easy

Right, which is stupid…why even have a forever locked option on the card? Just to trick us when looking at the catalogue?

I understand that is the way it works, but u don’t understand why that’s the way it works. Why even include that as an option on the card at all?

I don't get what you're saying here. You asked a question like you didn't understand how it works and I shared how the game works.
It is what it is unfortunately. Ideally they would just not have abilities show up that a player will never be able to activate.

What a horrible response. If you’re gonna be a moderator do better.

are you really getting upset at a mod over a stupid question about a stupid game?
