Why do some people buy LTDs for a lot more coin instead of Reduxes of the same card

Simple question

Look at Crystal Surtain

His original card is 5x more than the Redux 

Arent they technically the same card?

Do people care that much about card apperance?  That would be the only difference

Honestly idk. I just looked and they both get the chems which is the most important part. Other than the LTD selling for 500k instead of the regular 350k idk why hes so high.

It has to do with the floor of the return. If you buy a limited for 500k, the worse you can do is end up losing 150k when you sell it. If you buy a regular for 350k, you may end up with a much bigger loss when you decide to sell it.

It doesn’t make sense. You can buy redux Surtain for sub 200k, while the LTD is 1 mill. Only possible explanations are that people think think redux will lose boost or there will be a special set for LTD cards or something. I doubt either will happen, but nothing else besides that or foul play makes sense.

Like dawk said, it has to do with the quick sell value. If I have Gibbs for 500k quick sell he’ll never be under 500k even in 5 months. Whereas the redux can drop to under 50k coins in a month or so. And people undercut prices and reduces can be pulled much easier.  More cards equal more undercutting prices

Sometimes i think people end up buying a redux thinking it was an underpriced LTD. I almost made that mistake with Jayden Daniels

Good way to buy & keep coins.

It's a rental at certain points.

I'll buy LTD players to fill gaps, because they will drop but only so far once new cards come in.

You don't have to worry as much about losing your ass if you plan on keeping for a while. I'm just keeping my gibbs now. Lowest I'll get is 500k and bought for around 850 a week ago
