Why are people triggered by mid-blitz?

At least you are bringing six or seven guys mixing in different zone and man looks?

The same guys that send me hate messages are running 2-3 cover 4 loop blitzes with their safeties two feet from the line of scrimmage. They get a similar amount of pressure sending three or four and the safeties magically play deep balls as well as if they were 25 yards deep pre-snap.

I switch up my defenses all game every game, but I always get the hate messages on mid blitz, but their cover 4 meta is far more ridiculous in my opinion.

as a former mid blitz spammer, I’d find that most above-average players would laugh at my defense as they easily torch it. Literally one of the easiest defenses to score on

like everything else with this game you can block it perfect everytime than get a random rng dda insta shed. o lineman are literally morons and cant block the guy directly in front of them

Exactly, it doesn’t bother me either. I think some people get comfortable calling a set of plays and most people aren’t running hard blitz schemes so if pisses them off.

Mid Blitz triggers me, but not near as hard as when Mid Blitz apologists ask this question as if they didn't know why Mid Blitz works so much better in Madden than it would on an NFL field.

this is by far the most triggering coverage. I dont get how they have 9 guys in the box but somehow I can never beat them deep

Ultimately, my point is that it’s a lesser evil. At least you are bringing more guys than there are blockers vs. a glitched out looper.

If someone cant beat mid blitz by now, online h2h is not for them

Except that this is almost never what happens. The line is crowded, and they get through the A- and B-gaps untouched. And after constant quarterback hits (because Gunslinger is broken this year), rudimentary and random zone drop adjustments to the blitzers yield frequent interceptions.

Blitzing is a high-risk, high-reward approach to defense, and it has its place. In the NFL, blitzing six is extremely risky, and none of the guys who rush-commit have any real chance of catching up to an NFL receiver that catches the ball five yards behind the defensive line when the quarterback executes on his hot read. But because inertia in Madden works like each defender weighs five pounds when changing direction, the blitzers can simply cover too much ground too quickly, and track down a lot of pass catchers before they even reach the first down marker. Unrealistic, and just one of many reasons why Mid Blitz is effective as a core spam strategy: Too little risk for too much reward.

Looping is cheesy too, of course. It doesn't change the fact that Mid Blitz is entry-level cheese, and I see it all the time. Contrary to responses elsewhere here, there are a lot of very terrible MUT players who can keep up with superior players far too easily with constant Mid Blitz.

Well I'm really happy to hear it's not just me.   Like you defenders are all 5ft from the LOS and shaded underneath but yet can keep up with any verts route.   Make it make sense

Its not the play itself. 

It  along with a handful of other plays.  Automatically give the player an advantage just by selecting it, no matter the formation the Offense comes out in. Which is why its used so much among the community regardless of your actual skill level.

Amplify it with the "Defenders" of that "Abuse the CPU"  play style and it leaves a sour taste in your mouth. 

IMO  Mid blitz is for Scrubs, Toddlers, and Solo challeges.

That is the attitude I’m referring to. Of course if you run it stock it is pretty elementary, but if you mix in different zones such as 30 yard flat zones and mix in different coverages it does require thought and a small amount of “skill.”

Not sure why people think they are football geniuses running cover four loop blitz with the safeties in the box. It doesn’t take master skill to alternate between flat and purple zones and stand by the line to glitch the blocking assignments before running around like a spaz in the middle of the field.

Switch sticking to one of the deep blue zones isn’t next level skill either in my opinion.

When you say "people", do you mean to solo battle cpu? AI has gotten way to far, now the Madden CPU player is getting emotions.

I don't see how a human opponent is worried about mid blitz users. I feel it is the mid blitz users who are "triggered" and post on these forums that their opponent is running cheese to beat the same d these you over and over again.
