Previously, I used 95 Von Miller with the always-on Fear Monger. The new combine cards also have X Factors that are easy to activate, so I’d like to finally be able to have abilities on that player instead of being stuck with just the X Factor.
Run a real defense and then you won't have to make dumb threads on mut gg like this. I don't usually get annoyed as to what people post on here, but I don't care if this get this thread locked as you are truly scumbag @JonRavioli.
For those who would respond stating "pro's do this too", IMO there is difference between a pro taking advantage of a glitch in an attempt to win 250k (I probably would too/don't hate the player, hate the game), and other thing between someone looking to probably rack up some house rules wins and screw over people who are just trying to unwind and enjoy life.
Before any one comments "there is a easy counter", yes I am aware and use it. Point of this rant is that calling out scum like the make of this thread should be more of the norm in the world.

You say "don't hate the player, hate the game", but then immediately hate the player. You're reasoning that being behind cash compensation is irrelevant.
The fault here lies directly on EA, and it's a two fold one.
First and foremost, they cannot or will not competently patch their game once these meta plays or dynamics are found by the masses, and then copy cat into every mode. How long has double pass pass defense been broken? Since launch? Not a tweak to it. They have no desire to because engagement apparently hasn't dropped off enough for them to feel the effects.
The second issue is they have continually bled out any way for the NMS/casual/weekend player to amass coins and or players to keep up w/ the team building progression. Their hope is this leads people to open bundles. What has happened since the Playoff promo, is they are now introducing these LTM types of modes where a quick run (you can knock out a 9-0 in these new events in under an hour) can generate a decent stack of coins. I don't have to give EA money, I don't have to mindlessly play the CPU for 4 hours to get a redzone pack, I don't have to stare an auction house screen hoping to flip a card for 20k over and over and over.
EA incentives these modes, and people gravitate to them because its the best, easiest, and most effective way to earn coins. I don't get mad about how people play it, because it sure as shit beats them paying EA $100 for a 50/50 shot at the most recent card.

I don't hate the player if someone is in a comp match, but I absolutely judge someone if they are in a casual house game mode and run this nonsense.

All the Madden content creators do is complain about the game while running the scummiest crap themselves.

My point is EA has removed the “casual“ from this mode when they made it where an hour playing it gets you about 500k min
Seasons…sure I’ll agree. These recent HR modes are anything but casual.

I disagree, there are plenty other ways to win, and spamming the loop blitz and then creating a forum on mut gg cause one can't cheat well enough should be result in being shamed.

I would prefer to shame the company who has a track record of finding ways to manipulate their customers, over said customer using the tactics celebrated by said horrible company.

I’m pretty new to the game and had no idea this was such a controversial topic.
A lot of you are spot on, knowing that I googled “Madden 25 Defense” and have been using the setup from the first video I watched.
Sorry to everyone that hates this defense! I’ll do some more research. Have a great weekend everyone! Hahahaha
Edit: For anyone having trouble moving the ball against Dime 3-2, run flood routes through the middle of the field and block your halfback!

I would recommend utiziling hybrid defensive play books that include multiple good formations like 3-4 odd, 3-3 odd, 4-3 6-1 and a good dime defense.
Over time you can identify specific formations that you can use in specific situations (just like they do in the nfl) and will not have to rely on "glitchy" schemes that end up getting patched in the following madden release. It can be the "harder" path, but in the end it is worth it.
CodyWolfgang said:It’s still annoying to be limited to play action plays in your playbook due to a glitch.
I legit offered 3 more protections... you're not just limited to PA plays lol.
lachry said:Max protect as soon as you break the huddle, and then do NOT hit the line adjustment button the rest of the play. If you wanted to make any other double teams, or IDs you need to do that first. The last line adjustment you can make is max protect.
After that, you can reroute your TE(s) and HB, and your line will keep that same "max protect" assignments, even though they are no longer getting help from the TE/HB. If you happen to hit the line adjustment button again, it will auto set them BACK to block, which is why it's the last line adjustment you can make.
It changes the blocking assignments as if you were keeping your TE(s) and HB into block. Your guard then won't completely dumb out when the user is trying to engage them causing the loop to happen. Occasionally the game is still the game, and someone will break free, but not consistently. The looper just kind of runs directly into the RG/center (assuming its coming from left to right)
zOMG i could kiss you. How is it friggin March and this is the first i'm hearing of any "Max Protect glitch" type scenario. Holy hell, i'm terrible. I have been primarily calling Max Protect so that my linemen don't get called for Illegal Man Downfield over and over. Buggy ass shit. At this stage in the game i don't really even bother trying to block all out pressure, i just hope to get the ball out quickly, although rarely seem to have time for a Texas (angle) route to fully develop before i'm hauled down.
Was going down the Nightreign lore rabbit-hole late last evening, trying to figure out what those shrouded Titans could be. Guess i fell asleep, was a lengthy lore video, but didn't really anticipate much in the way of meaningful lore.

you want a fast safety with coverage lb traits so they dont try to engage with the blockers

I'll continue to repeat this until i'm blue in the face -- don't hate the player, hate the game. Never have I read a more true statement. Such a weird approach, to blame the people playing the game while allowing the creators to avoid scrutiny. However, that is extremely common... but mystifying (to me) altogether.
